is a talented WR from Thompson who’s coming off a breakout season that’s made him our #1 WR and #15 overall prospect in the class.
“Moseley is a big WR who thrives on his speed and route-running. He gains tons of separation from DBs at every level of the field, consistently making huge plays against some talented 7A secondaries. Moseley is highly versatile in his team’s offenses- lining up inside/outside and completely bullying opposing DBs with his combination of size and speed.
Moseley does a great job taking advantage of smaller DBs- frequently on tape you’ll find him winning one-on-one matchups for the ball, fighting through contact, and making huge catches over the tops of defenders.“
I’m a big fan of Moseley’s game. He made a ton of massive plays in a crowded WR room over at Thompson this past season. We all need to watch out for him next fall.

Everyone needs to have eyes on Moseley heading into next season. He’ll be one of the top WRs in the state this coming year.

Moseley is a certified home-run threat whose track-level speed shows up immediately- forcing defenses to cover every blade of grass. He has a strong feel for attacking defensive cushions and understands how to throttle down to find soft spots in zone coverage.
Beyond the speed, Moseley brings above-average elusiveness and sharp cutting ability in space, along with reliable hands and strong sideline awareness. His 2024 production—1,128 receiving yards on 68 catches with 7 touchdowns—underscores his ability to consistently stress defenses at all three levels and solidifies him as one of the best in his class.

Hoover’s secondary will have to find a way to slow down Thompson’s WR corps, and especially Mosley. He’s been leading their team in several receiving categories; everyone should watch for him this week.
Mosley has put together some dominant tape over the first half of the year. Make sure you give him a watch below, you’ll be impressed.

has risen to our #15 spot in the state and is now our top WR in our 2027 Rankings, and after the season he put together last fall for Thompson, it’s hard to argue otherwise. Moseley is a big WR who thrives off of his speed and route-running, he gains tons of separation from DBs at every level of the field, consistently making huge plays against some talented 7A secondaries. Moseley is highly versatile in his team’s offenses- lining up inside/outside and completely bullying opposing DBs with his combination of size and speed. Moseley does a great job taking advantage of smaller DBs- frequently on tape you’ll find him winning one-on-one matchups for the ball, fighting through contact and making huge catches over the tops of defenders. Moseley was highly productive against some talented defenses across the 7A last season, ending his sophomore year with 53 receptions for 757 yards and 13 touchdowns. With how well he’s played, Moseley has seen his recruitment open up a ton- he’s just recently picked up offers from Vanderbilt, Washington, Mississippi State, and more. Check out his tape below, those offers are only the first of many to come- he’s seriously talented!

just took home the state championship MVP, which will be the start of a snowball of momentum coming this offseason on the recruiting trail. Moseley has adequate size at this stage of growth and still has time to get bigger. He is a solid athlete, but his game is around creating deception and taking advantage of space as a route runner. He does a brilliant job of selling the vertical route, allowing him plenty of in-breaking opportunities when you couple that with smooth releases. He plays with outstanding spatial awareness, often making his way across the entire field while evading contact and looking the ball into his hands. Moseley has an offer from UAB, but his state championship performance elevated his stock another notch.

Another one of the prospects on the cover of this article, Moseley is a prospect who keeps getting better and better. The future Hoover Buccaneer has all the tools to warrant getting some early college looks. It may take him a little bit to get on the varsity field, but the 6-foot, 155-pounder is exciting to watch.

Currently attending Bumpus Middle School, a Hoover High School feeder program in Alabama, Moseley is already proving why he will be one of the top wideouts in the country soon. The most impressive thing about Darrion is that, in one of the highlight tapes that I watched, his first clip was blocking a second-level defender, a clip that you may not always find with other receivers of the same caliber as Darion. With that, Darion checks all the other boxes needed to be a standout receiver. He does a great job of developing separation with defensive backs as he works on getting open. Additionally, Darion is a sure-handed receiver, he does a great job locating the ball and bringing it into his body. Lastly, Darion does a great job after the catch of finding green grass and navigating around defenders as he works toward the endzone. Darion clearly has a lot of natural talent, and I am excited to continue to see see him develop. The potential for becoming a top-50 player in the nation at his position is there.
