James has one of the more impressive athletic profiles in the state at 6-foot-3 with legitimate movement skills. His combination of size and straight-line speed allowed him to stay stride-for-stride on vertical routes while still maintaining the physicality to disrupt at the catch point. He looked comfortable competing outside.
His ball skills adds another layer to his game. He tracks deep throws naturally and shows strong hand-eye coordination converting on tipped balls and contested opportunities. This in addition to his plus wingspan allow him be disruptive at the catch point and tighten windows. This blend of size, speed, skill and motor makes him an elite prospect in his position group

For the last 6 months or so, you could argue that no player in this region has picked up the recruiting traction that James has. Everything about this kid screams P4 prospect, and his traits make him an easy eval. A long, lean, prospect who checks the frame boxes and has the speed to carry routes downfield. He is physical at the point of attack, and keeps his hands on receivers throughout the route. No need to ramble here. He is big, fast, and physical. Elite traits prospect with P4, SEC, and NFL upside.
