An outstanding natural athlete who can make big plays in all three aspects of the game, Davis is a sure-handed receiver and one of the best returners across the state for the 2026 class. He’s also an impressive defensive back who shows quick feet, fluid hips, and the ability to stay in the back pocket of opposing receivers. He brings above-average length, strong instincts in coverage, and natural big-play ability. He’s a reliable weapon in the secondary who could see his stock, and recruitment, really pick up this spring.

Jamarcus Davis has a QB background from his younger football days, but it looks like he has made the transition to DB, which has worked in his favor as he has added several FBS offers this offseason. Davis might not possess ideal measurables for a corner, but his speed and explosiveness allow him to compensate. Creating separation against him is difficult. He is fast, but also fluid in the hips, allowing him to change direction and defend several kinds of routes. He has speed, but he can become even faster as he develops better running technique. Davis also plays on offense and special teams as a returner. He is dangerous with the ball in his hands, but I believe this is a DB projection.

Jamarcus Davis Jamarcus Davis 5'10" | 165 lbs | ATH Central | 2026 State GA is an exciting transfer from Georgia that is going to be a huge factor in Central’s passing game this next year. Davis is an electric wide receiver that can make a huge impact when the ball is in his hands both on offense and special teams. Davis is super shifty- he can easily make defenders miss him in the open field, gets lot of separation off his routes, and can stretch the field vertically with great ease. It doesn’t matter if he’s returning the ball or catching them, he has the speed and acceleration to outrun anyone he’s matched up against. Overall he’s a really impressive athlete that has been able to make tons of splash plays. Davis has been making some noise in the recruiting world as well- he recently picked up an offer from UAB, Memphis, Massachusetts, and more! Davis is an electric playmaker in a lot of different ways on the field- keep track of how well he does this fall for Central, he’s sure to make some jaw dropping plays.
