You couldn’t miss him — literally. Knox was flying around all night and completely changed the game’s flow on special teams. He blocked two punts, flipping field position and putting Brophy in panic mode. The second block turned into a scoop/catch-and-score by DE Caleb Jordan Caleb Jordan 6'2" | 210 lbs | DL Basha | 2027 State AZ , essentially sealing things by halftime and sending the Basha sideline into a frenzy. But it wasn’t just the special-teams heroics — Knox also showed he can lock down on defense. Playing DB, he used his speed and refined footwork to blanket receivers and close windows quickly. That dual impact made him one of the most valuable players on the field. Basha weaponized special teams and leaned on its secondary, and Knox was the spark for both.

Knox is strong secondary defender who has a wide skillset that translates well to any position in coverage. Really like his all-around game speed and high motor, he plays fast and has the reactionary quickness to accelerate coming out of his break to close space on the ball. Plays well with his eyes to be in good position and anticipate where the ball is going. Shows he can smoothly transition and change directions with good hip movement and footwork, plus ability to plant and drive on short/intermediate level throws. Possesses high level recovery and closing speed while taking good angles in both coverage and as a tackler. Can line up a ball carrier, break down in open space, and wrap up to be a reliable tackler in one on one situations. High academic prospect with a 4.08 GPA and also runs a 10.88 100m in track.

2026 Defensive Back Percy Knox lll is a high flying, big-time shutdown man on the outside for the Bears. The versatile corner played at multiple positions over the course of last season, most notably at the cornerback and the nickel spots. He recorded 19 total tackles, 14 of those as solo tackles, 17 pass deflections, and an INT in his sophomore campaign. He is a fluid athlete moving in the secondary, with outstanding agility and excellent hip rotation to change direction swiftly. When he diagnoses the location of the ball, he attacks it at its highest point putting his body on the line with determined aggression. A big secondary player maker that will be seeking to take his game to a new level in his junior season.

was one of the standouts of the day from my point of view. He showcased some incredible closeout speed and quickness that had most receivers struggling for any separation all day. When he lined up against another standout from the day, and one of his fellow teammates, in Kash Brock, Knox’s skills and speed were put to the test. Brock was able to get some separation after a nice break on his route, but Knox used that closeout speed I mentioned to get back in time to break up the pass and win the rep. Another major piece of that young but extremely talented Basha defense, Knox is a player who certainly saw his stock rise at the PRZ Arizona Combine.

Playing in multiple spots for Basha’s defense, Percy “Trey” Knox uses a combination of some really impressive footwork mixed with a nice feel for the game. What stands out most when throwing on his film is how explosive of an athlete he is. His first two steps are always incredibly twitchy and allow him to get up to full speed in the blink of an eye. In man-to-man situations, that speed and agility are on full display. He’s always right in the hip pocket, ready to use his active hands to attack the receiver’s hands and break up the pass. He moves so naturally when switching directions, always very smooth – and it all comes from his hips. Looking like they’re on a freshly greased swivel, he can flip his hips when receivers make their cut and use those explosive first steps to never lose an inch of positioning. Knox is relentlessly working his way back from an injury, but there’s no doubt that he’s already made a name for himself by putting up impressive numbers in his sophomore season against great competition.
