Expert Analysis
Nick Rock | Prep Redzone Scout
Allen has all the size and strength to be a difference maker for Ironwood Ridge this fall, he just needs to put all the tools together to be that impact player. Really good upper body strength with a nice punch and ability to drive opponents backward or control them laterally. He does a great job in those short yardage situations to plug up the A gap which forces RB’s to give a slight hesitation, ultimately playing a major role in stuffing numerous 3rd and 4th and shorts.

Allen’s a dominant force on both sides of the line at 6’3” 280 lbs. Strong in the weight room that translates well to the football field, he’s able to overpower and move opponents. Flashes good balance and footwork staying inside his framework and driving through initial contact. Possesses a strong anchor to plug a gap or sit down to absorb an oncoming rush. Does a good job shedding blockers and freeing himself up to make a tackle from his DT position. A three-sport athlete that wrestles and started on varsity in both football and baseball. He’s long and is just scratching the surface of his ability and potential. Expect to see him climb recruiting boards as he progresses.
