‘s tape feels like you’re watching a kid who actually understands what the playing the position is supposed to look like. The biggest thing for me is how he manages the throttle — he knows when to drive it and when to layer it, and that’s not common at this age. The arm strength isn’t the type that screams at you on the first clip, but then he’ll zip one into a tight window and you’re reminded, “Okay, it’s in there,” and the more important part is he’s decisive in the quick game and isn’t playing scared. His accuracy is solid, and the way he sees the field lets you know he’s actually going through his progressions — he’s not just chucking to the first color he sees, he’s playing quarterback. Now it’s about the physical growth, because if the body keeps filling out and the velocity continues to come, the rest of his game is already wired the right way.

‘s got the kind of arm that jumps out right away — there’s real juice behind the ball, and it comes out quick. He’s not just a pocket guy either; when he tucks it and runs, he does it with purpose, picking up tough yards and showing he’s not afraid of contact. Every now and then, he’ll fall off a throw when he’s trying to crank up the power, but that’s something you see with a lot of young QBs still learning how to stay balanced under pressure. What I like most is how natural he looks throwing on the move — whether he’s rolling to his right or flipping his hips back the other way, he’s got a knack for putting the ball exactly where it needs to be. He’s already mixing that physical ability with a feel for the game that makes you think he’s only going to get better from here.

Righty Quarterback with a very strong, yet accurate arm. While I have not seen him play live at this point, on film there are a ton of things to like. He’s reportedly listed at 5-foot-10 and 145-pounds, and while the height looks accurate–he does appear to be a little thicker/heaver than his listed weight. I think the word potential is fitting here, for Cooper. Everything from frame, to build, to throwing motion is really intriguing. With continued development, I see no reason why Cooper shouldn’t become one of the better QBs in Arizona in the 2029 class.
