Noah Roberts Noah Roberts 6'1" | 200 lbs | RB Basha | 2027 State AZ is the easy name to start with here because he checks just about every box you’d want in a back built to play as on Madden. The speed-power combo is obvious, but what really separates him is that he’s not just a straight-line hammer who happens to be athletic. He can absolutely juke somebody out of their shoes, string moves together without losing himself, and then hit the gas hard enough to turn a small crease into six once he gets to the second level. That’s a big reason why he’s viewed as one of the top recruits in the country, not just one of the best backs in Arizona. The production backs it too, with more than 2,100 career rushing yards and nearly 1,200 receiving yards already. He’s already shown he isn’t some projection-only player living off camp buzz. Basha used him a ton in the passing game again this past year, and that really let him show how dangerous he is in space, because once the ball gets in his hands, he becomes a problem fast. He’s slippery enough that defenders struggle just to get a clean touch on him, and even when they do, his contact balance and lower-half power make finishing the tackle a whole different job. Moving forward, it feels fair to expect a little more of the between-the-tackles load on his plate this season, but he’s still the kind of back you can flex out, use from the slot, and trust to run the full route tree because he’s that natural as a pass-game weapon. Everything about his game feels high-end, polished, and dangerous. Elite is not overselling it.

Noah Roberts Noah Roberts 6'1" | 200 lbs | RB Basha | 2027 State AZ got involved early, and you could feel the difference right away. He was that steady heartbeat in the backfield — stacking tough carries, catching the easy stuff, and giving Basha a reliable outlet any time things tightened up. He didn’t need a big, highlight-reel touchdown to make his impact felt; every touch he got seemed to help settle the offense, keep Rogers in rhythm, and force Chandler to play honest. It was mature, physical, and exactly what you expect from a back you can build a game plan around, even when he’s not the one finishing drives.

It’s not easy for running backs to make their presence felt at 7-on-7 events. Most of it is built for receivers and quarterbacks to shine, and backs can sometimes go a whole stretch of games without really getting involved. But Roberts wasn’t just involved — he stood out. First off, his size jumps out right away. He’s just built different than most of the other skill guys out there. Big frame, strong legs, and carries that kind of power you don’t usually see in a non-padded setting.nBut what really impressed me was that he didn’t just rely on size. He showed legit movement skills and some sneaky burst once he got into the second level. There were a few times he caught a short pass or swing route and just pulled away from defenders who underestimated him. You could tell he was reading the field well and understood how to find space, which is so valuable in this format. Just a really solid showing from a back who didn’t let the format limit what he could do.

Noah Roberts Noah Roberts 6'1" | 200 lbs | RB Basha | 2027 State AZ doesn’t play like a typical underclassman — and he’s definitely not built like one either. He’s got a mix of power and explosion that makes life miserable for defenses, no matter how they line up. Try to load the box and stuff the middle, and he’ll bounce it outside and be gone before anyone can recover. Spread your guys out to defend the edges, and he’ll lower his shoulder, run right through traffic, and pick up yards in chunks. What sets him apart, though, isn’t just the physical tools — it’s how naturally the game seems to come to him. He’s got the kind of vision and feel that you can’t teach. Every time he touches the ball, there’s a real chance something special happens, and it’s not just highlight stuff — it’s the consistency in how he moves the chains and wears down defenses. He looks like a guy who’s already playing at the next level, and he’s only getting better.

Noah Roberts Noah Roberts 6'1" | 200 lbs | RB Basha | 2027 State AZ is the kind of back who makes defenses second-guess their game plan. At 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, he’s a powerful runner with the speed to turn a routine carry into a game-breaking play. His vision through the second level is elite, allowing him to find space and quickly burst through the defense. But he’s more than just a runner — Roberts is a versatile weapon, contributing as a receiver and making plays all over the field. With over 1,000 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns as a sophomore, he’s already cementing himself as one of the nation’s top backs in his class.

Roberts moves up an overall spot into the #2 position and remains the top ranked RB in the 2027 class. He’s continued to show why he’s a national recruit who has pulled in eight new P4 offers this month including top programs such as Oregon, Michigan, and USC. Possesses a well-rounded skillset for a RB that can pick up tough yardage between the tackles, turn the corner to the outside with speed, or catch the ball effectively out of the backfield. He’s instinctual with the ball in his hands with the ability to attack running lanes and use his blockers to his advantage to create lanes while working to space. His contact balance and ability to break tackles with good leg drive and leverage make him a tough runner at the POA. Holds 23 D1 offers.
