Expert Analysis

McComber signed with Stanford in December after picking up over 20 D-I offers during his career at Bishop Gorman. He’s a versatile defender with the frame, physicality, and athleticism to develop into a future OLB or safety at the next level. Rangy and fluid as a tackler and possesses the instincts to get to the ball in a hurry. McComber will be an exciting player to watch develop at the P-4 level over the coming seasons.
"Great player with high football IQ and versatility. Sudden as a blitzer and violent as a tackler.” – @CoachDOnofrio

Landon is an elite sideline to sideline defender for the Gaels. The 25 LB is already committed to play for Stanford even after sitting out of competition in his sophomore campaign due to transfer rules. Landon will be a huge piece to the Gorman defense and will look to make big plays all season long.

Mccomber currently holds 21 D1 offers without playing a down in his junior campaign. The 2025 LB transferred from Desert Pines HS to Bishop Gorman HS last season causing Mccomber to mis his junior campaign. 702 high school football fans have been waiting to see Mccomber back on the field as the top LB recruit looks to dominate for the Gaels in his senior season.

McComber- who holds over 20 D-I offers- has added Utah and Florida to the list since the start of the new year. He’s a versatile defender with the athleticism and physicality to play multiple LB spots. He shows great range covering ground beneath at the first/second levels and closes on the ball with great speed and a lengthy frame (6’2”/200). He plays with great off-ball instincts, possesses a quick downhill trigger to the football, and hits violently at the POA. McComber should step in and be an impactful piece of the LB core for Bishop Gorman next season.
