McDaniel picked up his first pair of offers from Hawaii and Oregon St. this month. PRZ NV’s fifth-ranked DB and #23 overall prospect in the 2027 class had been flying under the radar coming into the offseason and is coming off a strong junior campaign where he showed his versatility and playmaking ability with the ball in his hands as a special-teams playmaker. He’s a talented athlete that’s flashed upside as a coverage defender in the secondary since his freshman season in Utah. McDaniel is a player on the rise early into the offseason cycle.

McDaniel took visits to UNLV and UCLA this month. The #5-DB in PRZ NV’s 2027 rankings is a rising prospect that transferred into Bishop Gorman after producing a breakout freshman season with Northridge (UT) a couple seasons ago. Look for McDaniel to pick up his first D-I offer in the near future.

McDaniel debuts at #16 in Prep Redzone’s latest 2027 Nevada rankings after transferring into Bishop Gorman from Northridge (Layton, UT). The 5’10”/165 DB produced a strong freshman season on varsity with 60 total tackles and 3 INTs last fall. He’s a versatile nickel/S that showed instincts and ball skills in coverage as a deep safety and flashed aggressiveness as a tackler around the edge of the box. He can cover the slot with quick change-of-direction and sharp angles of attack. McDaniel is a promising DB that should put his name on the D-I radar as he continues to grow and develop with his new program.
