Expert Analysis
Caleb Sisk | Prep Redzone Scout
Amina is one of the better players in the state of Nevada, and opted to come from Nevada down to the state of Georgia to compete. He was fantastic in his showing, as he finished with many coaches complimenting him. He has a ton of talent and is recruited by many schools for a reason. He caught my attention in the shorter routes that he was seeing and throwing to, but you can tell from his performance that he is evolving as a prospect. Amina will be one to watch in the next season that is coming up.

Amina added an offer from UAB in June. The top-ranked 2028 QB in the state is an immensely talented passer that’s already accumulated over 15 D-I offers before even taking a varsity snap. He’s continued to show the natural arm talent, accuracy, and skill this offseason that’s had him on the D-I radar since the eighth grade. Amina holds other offers from Oregon, Nebraska, Washington, and Arizona St.

Amina might be the most talented prospect in Nevada’s 2028 class and could find himself in the top overall spot in PRZ NV’s rankings down the line. The 5’10″/170 QB out of Bishop Gorman was a standout at the PRZ CA Showcase back in 2023 where he showed the skill and finesse in his arm as just an eighth grader. He’s a gifted, mobile passer that some possesses a similar skillset and traits as some of the recent D-I QBs to come through Gorman. Showed great feel and awareness in the pocket for the Gaels’ freshman team last season to go along with the natural arm talent and playmaking he brings to the table. Amina holds nearly 20 D-I offers including Oregon, Nebraska, Washington, and Arizona among others.

Although the incoming freshmen QB has to learn the system and the speed of varsity football Amina has an elite arm talent that will allow him to complete right away for the QB1 spot in the Gaels program. Amina is one of the best QBs nationwide for the class of 2028 and has already picked up division one offers from UNLV, Nebraska, Nevada, Portland St., Washington St., Washington, Oregon, Arizona, SMU, Tulane, San Jose St., and Arizona St.

has made a lot of noise this off-season performing in the Under Armour MS All-American Game as well as several showcases around the country. Amina looks to be the next great QB out of Hawaii and is trained by QB Guru Vinny Passas on a daily basis. Amina has elite arm strength for an upperclassmen in High School and he is still in the 8th Grade. Amina has grown physically in the off-season and is ready to play at the varsity level as a freshman. Look for Amina to immediately compete for a spot at powerhouse Bishop Gorman HS.

Though he didn’t win MVP at the late-April, combined high school-middle camp in Southern California, the seventh-grader (class of 2028) prospect was nearly the MVP of the camp. I feel it’s only appropriate to mention the Nevada prospect, because I heard from multiple college coaches that he was lights out from the opening whistle. I guess the University of Hawaii heard the same thing, as they offered him a scholarship just 10 days after camp.

Only a 2028 prospect, Nevada’s Ace Amina woke a few people up out at our California Prep Redzone Camp as a top Quarterback. Per our Michael Huntley, “Amina was hands down the best middle school quarterback at the camp and in my opinion was a top three quarterback overall. He’s built very well for his age and had the confidence to compete alongside much bigger and older quarterbacks. His release is smooth and he has good accuracy on the intermediate level throws.”
