Week 4 is here, and some of Nevada's biggest playmakers are preparing to take center stage under the Friday night lights. The state is loaded with high-level talent this season, and several prospects have already put together monster performances through the opening weeks. This weekend brings another opportunity for Nevada's best to make statements, especially with multiple programs taking on premier out-of-state competition. From Power Four commits and nationally recognized prospects to seniors putting up video-game numbers, there will be plenty of talent to follow across the Silver State. Here are eight Nevada playmakers who could take over the field in Week 4.

[player_tooltip player_id='1803013' first='Ryder' last='Tucker'] is one of the senior quarterbacks to keep an eye on in Northern Nevada as McQueen continues its pursuit of another championship run. Tucker has an elite arm and can make throws to every part of the field, giving the Lancers the ability to attack defenses vertically. What separates him even further is his football IQ and ability to recognize what defenses are giving him before making the right decision. He is also a legitimate threat with his legs and can turn broken plays into explosive gains when he escapes the pocket. Tucker has a chance to light up the scoreboard Friday night when McQueen travels to take on North Valleys.

[player_tooltip player_id='1660288' first='Jackson' last='Mathews'] has been an absolute workhorse for Reno and is putting together an impressive senior campaign on both sides of the football. The two-way standout is averaging around 150 rushing yards and eight tackles per game, showing just how valuable he is to the Huskies. Mathews brings a physical mentality at running back, attacking defenders downhill and consistently fighting through contact for additional yardage. That same toughness translates to linebacker, where his instincts, motor, and ability to find the football make him a difference-maker defensively. Expect Reno to lean heavily on Mathews Friday night when the Huskies battle Sequoia from California.

Few players in Nevada have started the season hotter than Jermaine Wilson, who continues to put up video-game numbers for Sloan Canyon. The senior running back is averaging more than 200 rushing yards per game and has quickly established himself as one of the most dangerous offensive weapons in the state. Wilson brings an elite combination of speed, strength, explosion, and contact balance that allows him to dominate between the tackles while still possessing home-run ability in the open field. Give him a crease and he can take it the distance, but he is just as comfortable lowering his shoulder and running through defenders. Wilson will look to continue his monster senior season Friday night in a big matchup against Somerset Losee.

[player_tooltip player_id='940631' first='Tristan' last='Savea'] Tanielu has been a force out of the backfield for Somerset Losee and enters Week 4 as another senior running back demanding attention. Averaging around 150 rushing yards per game, Savea Tanielu has consistently shown the ability to carry the load and wear down opposing defenses. He is a powerful downhill runner who brings excellent strength, physicality, and toughness every time he touches the football. His ability to break tackles and consistently fall forward makes him extremely difficult to contain over four quarters. Friday night gives Savea Tanielu a major opportunity to make a statement when Losee battles Jermaine Wilson and Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon.

BYU commit [player_tooltip player_id='563625' first='Ezra' last='Sanelivi'] was built for matchups like the one Liberty has coming Friday night. The Patriots will battle Utah powerhouse Skyridge, and Sanelivi will need to be at his best if Liberty wants to come away with a statement victory. The senior has all the tools of a high-level college running back with size, power, explosiveness, and the ability to punish defenders at the point of contact. Sanelivi can grind out tough yards between the tackles before exploding through the second level and turning a routine carry into a huge play. This is the type of stage where a Power Four prospect can make a statement, and all eyes should be on Sanelivi against Skyridge.

[player_tooltip player_id='551874' first='Ace' last='Amina'] has already been tested on the national stage this season, and another major challenge awaits the talented 2028 quarterback Friday night. Bishop Gorman is coming off a tough loss to Columbus in Florida and will now travel to face another talented opponent in Lone Peak from Utah. Amina has shown tremendous upside with his arm talent, accuracy, confidence, and ability to command an offense loaded with playmakers. The young quarterback does not shy away from big moments, and his poise against elite competition continues to stand out. A big-time performance against Lone Peak would help get the Gaels back on track while further establishing Amina as one of the premier young quarterbacks in the country.

Minnesota commit [player_tooltip player_id='941277' first='Jayden' last='Thomas'] has been putting on a show this season and continues to prove why he belongs among Nevada's premier prospects. The Centennial standout is averaging around 140 receiving yards per game while producing against a schedule filled with quality out-of-state competition. Thomas has the elite size and speed combination every college program wants, along with the ability to stretch the field and completely change a game with one reception. His combination of physicality, athleticism, and big-play ability creates matchup problems regardless of who lines up across from him. Centennial gets another major test against Arizona powerhouse Perry on Friday, and Thomas could be the player who swings the game in the Bulldogs' favor.

If Arbor View is going to pull off a major upset against nationally ranked Hamilton, senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='803284' first='Thaddeus' last='Thatcher'] will be one of the biggest reasons why. The Oregon State commit is a four-year starter who brings the experience, leadership, and confidence needed to handle a matchup of this magnitude. Thatcher has the arm talent to attack defenses vertically while possessing the football IQ and command needed to consistently put his offense in position to succeed. His experience in pressure situations is a huge advantage for Arbor View, especially against an opponent loaded with high-level talent. Friday night gives Thatcher a massive stage to show exactly why he is one of Nevada's top quarterbacks in the 2027 class.
