Averaging around 150 rushing yards per game, Savea Tanielu has consistently shown the ability to carry the load and wear down opposing defenses. He is a powerful downhill runner who brings excellent strength, physicality, and toughness every time he touches the football. His ability to break tackles and consistently fall forward makes him extremely difficult to contain over four quarters. Friday night gives Savea Tanielu a major opportunity to make a statement when Losee battles Jermaine Wilson and Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon.

Savea broke out as the leading rusher for Eldorado’s offense with 700 yards and 14 TDs on 115 carries as a sophomore. He’s a quick, explosive runner that hits the hole with burst and possesses the acceleration to separate from second-level defenders. He’s a mostly north-south runner but shows some vision and agility finding space around the LOS. He’s on the smaller side at 5’8″/180 but has some good center-of-gravity and balance as a ball-carrier. Look for Savea to build off his strong sophomore campaign.
