Nevada Week 7 Top Performers

Several of the area's top playmakers stepped up in big games and helped lead their teams to important victories. From explosive quarterback performances to game-changing plays on offense and special teams, these athletes made their presence felt all weekend. Some continued dominant seasons, while others delivered breakout performances when their teams needed them most. The junior was nearly perfect through the air, completing 10 of 13 passes for 257 yards and three touchdowns. Amina showed impressive accuracy and efficiency while consistently creating explosive plays in the passing game. His ability to distribute the football and capitalize on opportunities makes the Bishop Gorman offense extremely difficult to defend. The junior made his impact felt again during Sloan Canyon's dominant 50 to 0 victory on Friday night. Makinney found the end zone as a receiver and also took a punt return all the way to the house. His speed and ability to create big plays in space give the Pirates a dangerous weapon every time he touches the football. The senior carried the football 25 times for 164 yards and two touchdowns in the win. Rantissi showed the ability to handle a heavy workload while consistently producing tough yards for the Cougars. His physical running style and ability to keep the offense moving were major factors in Coronado's success. The junior rushed for 143 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, averaging nearly 18 yards per attempt. Zuccarini displayed excellent burst and big play ability, turning limited opportunities into major production for the Lancers. His combination of speed, vision, and explosiveness makes him a threat to score whenever he gets into the open field. Boggs showed excellent command of the offense and consistently found ways to attack the defense through the air. His accuracy and decision making helped Spanish Springs produce an offensive explosion in an important league matchup.
