Watkins has great size for the position and has an ideal frame that will be a force once he develops his strength more. He played both OG and OT for St. Frances this past year but should mature into a true OT prospect. He plays with power and strength, getting into the defenders chest and driving them either into the ground or out of the play. John flashes good mobility, getting out in space at times running on his toes as well as solid lateral agility.

I’d like to see John work on his bend as he sometimes plays too high out of his stance. However with his size and strength there is no way he can’t develop into a top level OT if he puts in the work and continues to develop his skill set. Multiple colleges already see that potential as he holds 8 total offers. John could be another player that if he takes the next leap as a player his junior season he could find himself rocketing up rankings list and recruiting boards.
