About Denari
Expert Analysis
Ed OBrien | Prep Redzone Scout
Denari spent his first two years of high school football as the starting quarterback for Woodbridge High School in Virginia. He threw for 1,591 yards and 17 touchdowns. Denari picked up his first offer from Syracuse on January 21st. He also has offers from Sacramento State, UMass, and Marshall since then. Denari checks a lot of boxes: strong arm, mobility, patience in the pocket, and able to scan the field. I like the way he pushes the ball downfield with ease. Would like to see a little more velocity on his passes, but he does a great job of hitting receivers in stride.
What I’m looking to see from him this upcoming season: I’d like to see him take advantage of all of the weapons that will be at his disposal. Granted, he’s not calling the plays. However, He has the arm talent, and St. Frances’ offense will be much more dangerous if he’s able to showcase it. Denari only ran for 190 yards last season, but I think he’s capable of at least doubling that next season. He’s a legit dual-threat who should be able to make a lot of things happen with his legs this upcoming season.
