Scheller was forced to miss his junior season due to surgery but has the size, length, and athleticism to be a quality D1 prospect. At 6’3” 290 lbs. he’s a force on the interior DL with his ability to control the LOS and be a two-gap defender. Violent hands with a powerful initial punch at the contact point. Possesses a strong anchor to take on double teams and plug the middle of the defense. Uses his athleticism and moves well in the short area to track down ball carriers and rush the passer from the inside. Can work laterally down the line or chase down backside. Flashes good command and technique of a variety of moves to beat blockers at the POA. Transferred to Basha from Chandler to play his senior season.
