I’m not even sure you can still call him under the radar at this point with how strong his offseason has been — he’s clearly trending in the right direction. What’s exciting is that he’s just getting started in a bigger role, and you can already tell the chemistry with his quarterback is there. The two of them were in rhythm throughout the day, and it felt like every time the ball came his way, he made something happen. What makes him so tough to defend is how deceptively fast he is. Because of his long stride, it doesn’t always look like he’s flying, but then you realize he’s created a few steps of separation without breaking a sweat. His frame and wingspan give him a big catch radius, and he does a great job of taking advantage of it — especially over the middle and on sideline throws where he can extend and still keep control. The thing I loved most, though, was how polished he looked from start to finish. His footwork was clean off the line, smooth through his breaks, and consistent all the way through the catch. There’s just not a lot of people who can make it look as effortless as he can. If this is the version of him we’re getting this fall, it’s going to be a fun season to watch.
