Timothy Hogan Timothy Hogan 5'11" | 160 lbs | LB Bergen Catholic | 2026 State NJ earns the superlative for best at avoiding blockers, and it’s easy to see why. His instincts and agility make him a nightmare for opposing linemen trying to engage him. At 5’11”, 160 pounds, he plays with excellent leverage, using his hands to create separation and keep himself free to make plays. His vision stands out—he quickly diagnoses whether it’s run or pass and positions himself accordingly. Bergen Catholic had one of the best run defenses in the state last season, and Hogan’s ability to evade blocks and finish tackles was a huge reason. Expect him to be a difference-maker once again in 2025.

There might not be one single player who shot up the highest from the watch list than Timothy Hogan Timothy Hogan 5'11" | 160 lbs | LB Bergen Catholic | 2026 State NJ . A top 30 player in the state and the number 1 linebacker in his class, Hogan accelerates through the hole very quickly after reading his keys. The sign of any great linebacker, we see him tackle well by wrapping low. Hogan sort of feels his way through the line at moments, but will bail and recover well in pass coverage. Many times we see him make tremendous plays on the ball – laying out, high pointing it, tipping them, and jumping higher than we typically expect linebackers. He has a proclivity to take away and clog passing lanes really well. When big gaps open Hogan takes the air out of them by pressing them hard and not missing tackles in the hole. His hips are really good and he is able to flip them quickly and often in coverage.

The first Bergen Catholic freshman on this list, Timothy Hogan Timothy Hogan 5'11" | 160 lbs | LB Bergen Catholic | 2026 State NJ played a dominant role as a Will linebacker his first year at the school. With a good size frame, Timothy used his size to penetrate the offensive line and disrupt the flow of the play. He was able to identify the play and act quickly to put a stop on its progress. He used his lateral movement well to cover a lot of territory and clog up the hole when it was time to make his move. Looking to make a big impact on the field at the varsity level, look for Timothy to continue to dominate the middle of the field.
