The ASG Metro WR, hailing from local Bergen Catholic High School. Hammery stands at 6’0″ 155-Pounds, displaying a solid frame for a WR. Throughout the weekend, Hammery was a massive threat on the offensive side of the ball, racking up catches left and right. He showcased good hands, along with a strong IQ, which saw him display good route running, along with the ability to make tough catches look easy. Hammery was a prospect I enjoyed watching throughout the weekend in Elizabeth.

Defensive backs had an absolutely horrible time trying to cover Jamel on Saturday. His ability to get open was impressive enough, but even when he didn’t get separation, he was still able to go up and get the ball. 50/50 balls are not 50/50 when Hammary goes up for it. This played out perfectly towards the end of one of their games, where the QB just threw it up for Jamel, and he went up and snagged it with one hand just inside the back pylon. His size and athleticism allow him to be open, even when it doesn’t seem like it. Sunday should be a great one for Jamel and his HARM team!

. However, once the playoffs arrived, he stepped forward and proved he was far more than a secondary option. He emerged as a true weapon at the tight end position.
To begin with, Hammary showcased reliable hands throughout the postseason. Yet what truly separated him was his body control and concentration in traffic. He consistently adjusted to off-target throws, shielded defenders, and secured catches in tight windows — the kind of plays that extend drives and stabilise an offense.
As the stakes rose, Hammary elevated his impact. Even though Bergen Catholic ultimately fell to Don Bosco, he showed he can be a dependable playmaker in high-pressure moments. He filled critical gaps in the passing game, created mismatch problems, and gave his quarterback a trustworthy target over the middle.
Ultimately, Hammary’s playoff surge revealed just how valuable he can be within this offense. While he may not always receive the spotlight, his postseason performance proved he’s a reliable, steady contributor — and one of Bergen Catholic’s true unsung heroes.

is stepping into the spotlight at Bergen Catholic, and the timing couldn’t be better. The 6-foot, 155-pound wide receiver made noise on JV last season, consistently looking a cut above the competition. Now, with

off to Ohio State, Hammary has a real chance to carve out a significant role on varsity.
What makes him special is his combination of athleticism and suddenness in his routes. He creates space quickly and wins with polished footwork. He’s not just a finesse guy either—Hammary competes at the catch point and shows real toughness in 50-50 situations. He already runs a deep route tree and plays with confidence beyond his age.
Bergen Catholic doesn’t hand out snaps easily, but Hammary has the traits to rise fast. He’s got the tools to be a difference-maker and the mindset to handle the moment. Keep an eye on him—he’s ready to break through.
