Cottone, a Bergen County Junior Football League All-Star in 2025, is a long, lean signal caller who brings dual-threat ability to the position. Operated nearly exclusively of shot gun this past season and appears most comfortable when he has room to move around. On film he looks to have very impressive close proximity quickness and unassuming speed when he gets going. The comparison to Daniel Jones works because he doesn’t necessarily fit the mold of a mobile QB with how long he is, but before defenses realize it, he’s five yards past the Safety and on his way to the end zone. With that said, it’s those same nimble feet that are an area for improvement. He tends to make a lot of throws with unsettled feet and the ball doesn’t get there with enough zip. However, when he does set his feet and throws the ball, the arm strength is very noticeable.
