looks like the next big interior defensive lineman out of New Jersey. At 6’1”, 285, he combines natural leverage with quickness and burst off the line. This season will be his first taste of varsity action, and the tests come early. Bergen opens against Chicago powerhouse East St. Louis, then faces South Jersey contender Winslow.
Recruiting is already heating up. In May, Beckley picked up offers from Bowling Green, Tennessee, and Southern Mississippi. He’s currently rated a three-star prospect, but those offers show how quickly programs are noticing his potential.

has already cemented himself as one of the top young defensive linemen in the country. At 6’2”, 270 pounds, the Bergen Catholic standout possesses a rare combination of explosiveness, quickness, and power. His wrestling background gives him a natural feel for leverage, allowing him to control blocks and create havoc in both the run and pass game.
With Delaney Flood transferring to St. Thomas More and C.J. Edwards heading to St. Joe’s Metuchen, Beckley is set to step into a more significant role on Bergen Catholic’s defensive front. He’ll be jumping to varsity, where his ability to win one-on-one matchups and disrupt the backfield should make an immediate impact.
Already boasting 13 Division I offers—including Ole Miss, Michigan, Texas A&M, Syracuse, and Temple—Beckley is well on his way to becoming a household name in the 2028 class. Expect him to solidify his status as one of the top defensive prospects in the country this season.

was a prospect I was puzzled with at first. I checked his Hudl, to where he only had a single-clip from one game; however, on Twitter I saw that Texas A&M offered him a scholarship. Upon further digging I found some unofficial tape and opined of him from that.
It is as clear as the day is long that Beckley plays with a raw physicality that is way too much for the freshman level and likely a tall task on JV. That physicality starts with a sudden, immediate burst when he rushes upfield. Although his game typically centers around penetration and disruption, Beckley has shown instances where he locks out and sheds – cross facing his matchup well. His motor and physical presence profiles him as an interior lineman who likes to bang in the trenches, while it appears that he relishes in the opportunity to tackle the ball carrier – something he is very good at. For as gifted as he is, as Beckley climbs the depth chart and breaks into the varsity ranks, I want to see him play with more discipline. Yes, at the freshman and JV levels he can play 3 or 4 yards in the backfield and run around blocks to make plays; however, as the competition gets stiffer – especially considering Bergen Catholic’s national schedule ambitions – I do not suspect that Beckley will be able to get away with this.

may be the next great Bergen Catholic defensive lineman. With the recent success of Elijah Kinsler (West Virginia), Sydir Mitchell (Texas), and DJ Samuels (Maryland), it is no wonder Jayden would gravitate to a school with a such a rare pedigree of talent at the position. , Jayden will be in a position to flourish when he gets the chance to step onto the field. Jayden is a relentless rusher that is near impossible to slow down once he gets going. With the frame and strength of an upperclassman already, Jayden is extremely effective with his hands as he’s able to out leverage the blocker and literally toss them to the side. He will be bull rushing O-linemen for years to come. Already receiving offers from West Virginia, Syracuse, Boston College, and Marshall, Jayden may be on his way to top tier programs.

Going back to the Matawan Huskies, Beckley is another defensive line prospect that private school coaches are lining up to know about. Listed at 6-foot-1 and 225-pounds (unofficially) the defensive end is also the reigning USWANJ State Champion in wrestling at 190 pounds. Comes with freakishly long arms and agile hips that allows him to get into the backfield with relative ease. Even more impressive than his long arms and athletic resume, is that he’s benching 255 pounds already, too. You’ll hear a lot more about him in the future.
