DeAndre Orgill DeAndre Orgill 6'1" | 200 lbs | LB Bergen Catholic | 2026 State NJ has all the makings of a breakout edge rusher for [highschool_tooltip highschool_id=’1479023′ name=’Bergen Catholic’] this fall. At 6’1′, 200 pounds, he brings an explosive first step, violent hands, and a relentless motor to every rep. Right away, you notice how quickly he gets off the line—and how powerful his punch is. He uses his leverage well, consistently driving into offensive linemen and controlling blocks early in the down.
What sets Orgill apart is his urgency. He plays fast, aggressive, and with purpose. He’s a menace in run defense, whether he’s stringing plays out to the sideline or knifing through gaps to blow things up in the backfield. His athleticism also shows up in coverage and pursuit, and he’s shown he can impact the pass game by batting down balls at the line.
As Bergen Catholic reloads for another deep run, look for Orgill to emerge as a major disruptor on defense. If he builds on what he’s already shown, he could become one of the most talked-about edge defenders in North Jersey by season’s end.

Orgill does a nice job of getting hands on the man in front of him and driving him backwards to make a new LOS on each play. Anything along the perimeter to his side – toss, bubble, rockets, sweeps – he hustles his tail off to get in on the action. One thing I appreciated is that as his film went on, you see that he became more aggressive and physical when taking on kick out blockers as the season progressed. This is a big key to his growth as a defensive player. On offense he sells route combinations nicely, particularly a stick to a vert. As a back he profiles as a one-cut power back who can win in the open field. One immediate area for growth is to tweak his defensive stance. Be plays a bit tight, but if he were to uncoil himself just a bit, he will generate much more power, explosion, twitchiness, and violence when he comes out of his stance.
With the potential to be a defensive cornerstone and the versatility to be a mismatch nightmare on offense, anticipate Orgill filling up stat sheets as he harasses everyone on the field.
