The first Bergen Catholic freshman on this list, Timothy Hogan Timothy Hogan 5’11” | 160 lbs | ATH Parisi Prep Academy | 2026 NJ played a dominant role as a Will linebacker his first year at the school. With a good size frame, Timothy used his size to penetrate the offensive line and disrupt the flow of the play. He was able to identify the play and act quickly to put a stop on its progress. He used his lateral movement well to cover a lot of territory and clog up the hole when it was time to make his move. Looking to make a big impact on the field at the varsity level, look for Timothy to continue to dominate the middle of the field.

If you haven’t noticed yet, Bergen Catholic has a loaded 2026 class. Practically every Up Next list has at least one player from the school. Another player with a unique set of skills and versatility, Dante Kain Dante Kain 5’10” | 195 lbs | ATH Bergen Catholic | 2026 State NJ was able to play multiple roles for his team in 2022. Playing as a bruising back for Bergen Catholic, Dante defined his season by running over defenders as he sprints down field. He had quite a size advantage over his opponents, and he used it to its fullest. However, even though he has a larger frame, he moved extremely smoothly when in open field with the ball in his hands.
On defense, Dante played safety and rolled up at the line as well. He was a menace when he blitzed, and could cover his zone and break up the pass well. Dante’s future is surely bright, and it will be interesting to see where he lines up in the future. Dante could easily play safety, linebacker, RB, FB, TE, or H back in the upcoming seasons.

The Hammonton athlete is looking to play a big role in his team’s success these next three seasons. NaKeem Powell is that shifty type of runner that is going to need multiple set of eyes on him to contain him. He made his biggest impact on the field as a receiver, but is also able to make his presence known as a running back and returner. A player with very explosive lateral movement, NaKeem practically leaps away from defenders as he cuts to the outside. With his head on a swivel, NaKeem is always looking for the cut back and the best way to evade the defenders that are pursuing him.
As a receiver, he has a very quick burst off of the line of scrimmage. Bringing in 3 touchdowns in 2022, if you blink at the start of the play he’s sure to sprint past you. NaKeem may also get some reps on the defensive side of the ball as well, where he is set to shine there too.
