Umu-Cais is a monster on the inside and can clog up the middle, creating chaos in the running lanes. He has fast hands and can get good hand placement, shedding blocks and stuffing the ball carrier for no gain. He has a good low base which helps him fight off constant double and at times triple teams. He will be a player high on the radar and will be in line to have a breakout season this year.

The early offer from the Buffs is an obvious push by the program to keep Colorado’s top talent in Colorado. The 6-foot-3, 298lbs nose guard has formidable strength, impressive speed, and the agility of a coverage outside linebacker. Umu-Cais is another elite player to suit up for the Bruins with the expectation of becoming a top prospect in the country, adding to Cherry Creek’s resume of having defensive linemen go on to play at Power 5 schools nationally.
