Lumbus measures in at 5’10 180-pounds. This past season, he had 21 carries for 104 yards with 1 touchdown, 9 receptions for 86 yards and 1 touchdown, 97 total return yardage. He has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, speed, change of direction, and balance. Explosive quick start. Very good vision. Picks, slides, and accelerates into the open hole. Controlled and fluid jump cuts to effortlessly glide through the field. Very good inside and outside running. Lumbus is productive in the passing game as well. Very good ball tracking and catching. He’s a physical blocker. Killing it in pass protection and as a lead blocker for his fellow running back. Productive special teamer as well, both returning and gunning. With more opportunities in the backfield, I believe Lumbus is on the verge of a breakout season.
With a crowded backfield headlined by the Bruins returning leading rusher who committed to UConn, Lumbus enters the season competing for touches but he has the skill set to make every carry count. Lumbus shows excellent vision, finding holes quickly and accelerating into the open field with burst. Behind one of the best offensive lines in the state, he has the tools to turn limited opportunities into significant yardage. If the game opens up or the Bruins rotate backs frequently, Lumbus could see increased action and provide fresh legs against a tiring defense. His Week 1 performance could hint at a larger role as the season unfolds.
Lumbus made the most out of his limited action, and showed a lot of promise. He had 11 carries for 103 yards and 1 touchdown. Lumbus is behind a couple of stud RBs, so he didn’t get a lot of playing time. When he did, I was impressed. He has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, speed, change of direction and balance. Lumbus consistently gets yards after contact. He has very strong legs, or trucks through the defender. He runs through multiple guys before he gets tackled. Very good at breaking tackles. Lumbus has good awareness, and used it to extend his arms out to get the touchdown. If he gets more snaps, I see him contributing more to the 5A champions.
Lumbus has the ability to constantly make the first defender miss and pick up chunk yardage. He is shifty and when he gets to the second level, he can put a move on the backer and use his speed to pull away. He is a physical runner at times and takes more than one defender to bring him down. He will be an up and coming back that you will need to be familiar with moving forward.

is a prospect to certainly begin to get familiar with. The talented back is one of the many stars on a talent-filled Colorado Jr. Buffs club program, out of the greater Denver area. His running style is fairly unique and unmistakeable, as he does a very good job of getting low to the ground as he hits the hole, limiting the amount of surface area a defense has to take a shot at him. Possesses very good agility, which aids in his ability to make cuts and stay balanced in between the tackles. Speaking of running in between the tackles, Lumbus has zero fear of doing that. He runs hard and is tough to bring down. Easily breaks through arm tackles on the regular, and then has the speed to run away, when he hits open field. He’s going to be one to certainly keep an eye on, in the Centennial State.
