Anchondo was a player that was able to standout during the competition part of the day and grabbed my attention with his quick burst of speed and just the quickness he played with. He was aggressive going against defenders and was able to show a good base, having a strong first punch.

– One of the prospects that really opened my eyes, getting to see in person rather than on film
– With all the other things weighing on his mind (click the link, I promise it’s worth it) it’s incredible to see how he well he played with all things considered
– Anchondo played tough, angry, aggressive and with an attitude throughout the week. After meeting his dad, I don’t think he’s anywhere done close to growing either. He’s a prospect I’m buying stock in right now

of the Colorado Jr. Buffs holds a special place in my heat/mind because the two-way lineman is getting it done on the football field, despite having a brain tumor he is set to have operated on in late September. Anchondo is the type of kid that will be a very good player through high school career and possibly beyond, because of the effort he puts in, specifically as a defensive end. He’s a disrupter with a motor that doesn’t stop running. On he film he doesn’t have measurables or athletic traits that jump off the chart, but he hustles to the ball and never quits. For proof of that, look no further than four forced fumbles in his last seven games.
