I’ve got Jahmere #2 here – he was the second leading receiver for the state champions last season and had 7 receiving touchdowns. Some of those touchdowns came in some big games and critical situations for the Huskies, so the trust level from the coaching staff and his talented quarterback is definitely high. Jahmere has excellent speed to go with his tall frame, and he has a nice catch radius with long arms and strong hands to pluck the ball out of the air. Though he’s only got two offers right now, I think it’s only a matter of time before his recruiting picks up and interest starts coming a lot faster from multiple programs. He will be a big riser in our next rankings update also.

With the Huskies coming off a state championship, there are high expectations on them to play well again next season. Jahmere had a bit of a breakout season for Hough with 7 receiving touchdowns. Jahmere also stepped up big in some showcase games, which shows you the potential and trajectory of his overall ability. He has very good speed – on multiple highlights you see him getting behind defensive backs for big plays. I like his route running also, and he’s got the size to where he can be a matchup problem against smaller defensive backs. He has offers from East Carolina and Gardner-Webb, and I think he’s poised to have a breakout summer from a recruiting perspective. All arrows are pointing up with this young man.

I had a number of people I trust tell me about this young man, so I started to dig into his film, and Jahmere shows some excellent traits to be a potential breakout receiver this upcoming season. Jahmere has been a dominant player on Junior Varsity in about every way you can imagine – he shows very good speed downfield to win on deep balls, he shows strong hands in pulling in the football – flat out taking it away from a DB on a possible interception, and he can excel in space in the quick screen game, showing excellent agility and wiggle with the football in his hands. The Huskies typically do a good job of spreading the ball around in their attack, so Jahmere has a chance to make some impact this season on the Varsity level as he continues to develop.
