In the first half of this one, Charles was all over the field for the Huskies. Charles had multiple tackles for loss and recorded 4 total sacks in the game on a variety of pressures put together by the Hough defensive coaching staff. Charles has excellent speed, plays with good football intelligence, and can cover well in space, as he showed on a pass breakup in zone coverage in the first half as well.

Puckett didn’t just sneak into our rankings, he flew into the top 50. We were told of his talent from Al Pops at Prep Redzone Next, but didn’t have him in the rankings after he spent most of his freshman year on the junior varsity squad. But, Puckett had a fantastic outing at the Gardner Webb Megacamp and has recently earned his first FBS offer from Troy. He’s a guy who has the talent to have a big sophomore year, if he can get the playing time on a deep Hough team.

– He literally didn’t get a break during practice for the North Carolina Future Stars. Yet, didn’t hear him complain for a second and only time I heard him say a word was when I was talking to him
– At 6-foot and 160 pounds, he’s put together very well and was thicker than some of the outside linebackers on the NC Future Stars team, despite playing Safety during practice
– Come game time I noticed him getting more reps as a wide receiver, than at safety
– Either way, Puckett is a player with a lot of potential to make noise as he continues through his prep football career
