Holding offers from Charlotte, East Carolina, Coastal Carolina, Liberty, and North Carolina – Moreno has become a fast riser from a recruiting perspective. The cool thing about Moreno is that he started as a defensive lineman, so he hasn’t played offensive line very long, and he’s already getting Power 4 attention and offers. The size is something you absolutely love with Moreno, and with him also going over to Hough High School, it’s going to be fun to watch his development continue to grow exponentially. Moreno is really good in the run game, and moves his feet well in both run blocking and pass protection.
Recent offers for Moreno have come from Liberty, Coastal Carolina, and East Carolina – and they all have seen what I’ve been seeing, which is some rapid and exponential improvement in his game as an offensive lineman. Moreno transitioned from a primarily defensive player, and I think his ceiling is one of the highest overall out of this group.
Fisher is an imposing tackle with some positional versatility. He’s still in the process of reshaping his body and adding more weight to a frame that can hold a bit more. He moves well, and he has a nasty streak to finish blocks. There’s some projecting needed here, but we like his upside a lot.
Moreno has grown to 6’5 now per his Twitter profile, and Charlotte gave him his first offer back in January. I would say that’s a futures bet, but it’s smart in my opinion. Moreno doesn’t have a ton of film out there at the moment, but 6’5 EDGE prospects certainly don’t grow on trees, especially in the 49ers’ backyard. I will keep an eye out to see how Moreno progresses his sophomore year and possibly becomes a contributor for one of the best programs in the state contending for a state championship this season.
