Christian Coleman Christian Coleman 6'1" | 185 lbs | WR/ATH William A. Hough | 2027 State NC may be new to football, but you’d never know it watching him compete. The two-sport athlete showcased plenty of raw talent at the Gardner-Webb Mega Camp, displaying smooth movement skills and natural athleticism throughout the day. Coleman is quick off the line of scrimmage, changes direction effortlessly, and showed the ability to adjust to passes outside of his frame. His leaping ability consistently stood out, as he routinely won 50/50 balls and made difficult catches look easy. As he continues to develop his football IQ and refine the finer details of the position, Coleman has the tools and upside to become a highly sought-after prospect in the Class of 2027.

When you start thinking about the defending 8A State Champions, they are DEEP all over the roster, including the wide receiver spot. Christian is a player who can make some things happen on the outside, but he’s sharing one ball with players on that offense who are getting offers from everyone. This camp is an opportunity to show how talented he is, and I think he’s going to come in here with a chip on his shoulder and a lot to prove. He’s a player with good speed and athletic ability, and I think he’s going to show it.

When you look at Christian’s highlights, you see the potential to be a major contributor once he gets to the varsity level. I like his strong hands and good route running skills. Christian moves with good fluidity on a wide variety of routes. On a strong Lions team with a lot of receiving depth, Christian will have to wait his turn. However, he was named an All-Conference basketball player already, so that tells me he has the dedication and mental makeup to be an important player for the Lions sooner than later. Some work in the weight room and being the man on the lower level for now will prepare him to make a big splash in the near future.
