Another versatile defender, Daye is a long corner prospect with ball skills who is electric with the ball in his hands. He plays longer than his height would suggest, and the West Charlotte transfer has already made an impact for Hough. The Campbell commit gets overshadowed by a couple of the FBS commits on the roster, but he’s wildly talented and should make plenty of big plays this season.

Sincere Daye Sincere Daye 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB William A. Hough | 2027 State NC may be one of the less-mentioned defensive backs in Hough’s talented secondary, but his work ethic and offseason performance deserve recognition. After transferring in from West Charlotte, Daye quickly established himself as one of the hardest workers on the roster, regardless of position. He was a lockdown presence throughout the spring and summer 7-on-7 circuit, consistently showing the ability to stay connected in coverage and compete against quality receivers. In a loaded Hough defensive back room, Daye has continued to separate himself through consistency, competitiveness, and improvement. His offseason work has earned him a spot in the 2027 rankings, and he now has an opportunity to turn that momentum into production on Friday nights.
