Since we last wrote about Jackson with his inclusion on the 704 Junior Bowl team, he has seen exponential increases in his recruiting prospects from college football programs. In the month of March so far, Jackson has received offers from Memphis, Coastal Carolina, and North Carolina Central to go along with previous offers from Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Wofford, East Carolina, Charlotte, Florida International, and North Carolina A&T.

Jackson is one of those players that you can’t help but notice on a defense. When you look at his film, he’s literally making plays at all three levels of the defense from his safety position. On top of that, the intangibles he possesses as a leader are off the charts, and I observed those and had the same feedback from the Huskies’ coaching staff. Those are traits that are definitely a plus for consideration for the 704 Junior Bowl Team. Jackson currently has offers to play college football from East Carolina, Charlotte, Florida International, and North Carolina A&T all within the last month.

Heath was the unheralded defender on a state-championship defense loaded with Power Four talent. He led the Huskies in tackling and isn’t afraid to come down to the line of scrimmage and hit. He flashed coverage upside as well, and plays bigger and faster than his athletic profile suggests.

Jackson has been the unsung hero all season for the Huskies, and his support in the running game from his safety position was impressive all night long in this one. Jackson gets to the ball quickly, diagnoses plays well, and tackles very well in the open field. Jackson also does a great job in communicating calls with the defense and making sure everyone is aligned properly.

In terms of pure production, Heath’s step forward has been one of the most noticable among safeties statewide. The Hough defensive back can play either safety position, and he’s flashed some impressive ball skills as a junior. He’s not the biggest guy, but he’s a sure tackler who can come down and make plays near the line or create havoc as a blitzer.

An upside ranking, Heath waited patiently as a freshman and sophomore in a deep defensive backfield, but several Division 1 colleges have already reached out for the speedy, versatile defensive back. He can play both safety positions and can really move. He got some mop-up work last year and played well, suggesting that he’s ready for an increased role in 2025.
