I interviewed Hough Head Coach Deshawn Baker after the game, and he specifically shouted out the offensive line as the unit that played the best on that side of the ball in this one. Jarvis is the most heralded out of the group, and his blocking had several people asking me on the sidelines who he was in this one. Jarvis consistently moved people in the running game and was really impressive at pulling and opening holes on a variety of running plays.

When you turn on the tape for Jarvis, you get excited when you see the pure power along with some excellent agility for his size. It’s just impressive to see a guard drive someone 10 yards downfield in one clip, then come back and show the ability to pull and kick out on an end with nice speed and technique in the next clip. And then when pass blocking, Jarvis stonewalls defensive tackles at the line of scrimmage consistently. From a recruiting perspective, Jarvis has several Division 1 offers currently, and he should honestly have more based on his film.

Jarvis is an absolute monster up front for the Huskies, and like his aforementioned teammate Amaree Lawrence Broome, he was named All-Conference for the 2nd year in a row as well. When Jarvis gets his hands on a defender, he does an excellent job of drive blocking in the running game and they usually end up in the dirt. Jarvis has received a lot of recruiting attention with several early offers, and I’d expect those to continue as we move into the offseason. Definitely worthy of a Junior Bowl selection.

Potts has great size for a guy who probably projects as a guard at the next level. He has a nasty streak, which we love in offensive linemen and blocks through the whistle. As a pass blocker, he remains physical and aggressive, rather than passive. In the running game, he’ll occassionally lose some of the footwork, but still shows great balance and power.
