The body transformation that Micah has gone through is impressive, he is definitely locked in on making himself the best player that he can be from a weight room standpoint, which is a major plus from a cornerback. Micah was offered by the previous staff at Charlotte and has received some interest from other schools as well. Micah’s instincts have really improved as a corner, he had some big games last season where he really excelled in man coverage against receivers. I am excited to see his continued improvement next season, where I think he really breaks through for a big season.

I really liked Micah’s showcase performance overall. Micah showed that he can turn and run in coverage as a cornerback, and then make plays on the football with good technique. On top of that, Micah has obviously been in the weight room as he came up and played some good press man technique in one on ones, really disrupting the release of multiple receivers off the line of scrimmage. Micah was offered by the previous Charlotte staff, and merits attention from other in-state schools also. I think with another strong off-season, Micah will start to see some offers come his way going into his senior year.

Cox Mill has struggled a bit to start the season, but Bright has been excellent for the defense. He’s always done well to get around the ball and make tackles, but he’s really improved as a cover corner in 2024. He has several pass breakups and a fumble recovery to go with over 30 tackles in four games to start the year.

Micah showed some athletic ability in coverage from his defensive back position – there were a couple of plays where Micah’s coverage helped force a sack or an incomplete pass by the Lions offense. Micah was not targeted much in general in the passing game, always a good stat for a defensive back.
