Analysis: The skill positions are loaded in 2A, as we had to cut multiple highly-ranked running backs and more than one talented receiver. The honorable mentions (below) are full of those guys and it wouldn't surprise us if another player entirely beat them all out.

South Stanly's quarterback-receiver duo highlights the first team offense, while Murphy and Tarboro sneak two on the list as well.

Analysis: The defense was extremely tough to create. Sometimes at the lower levels it can be hard to find enough players we feel comfortable putting on an all-state team. With the 2A defense, though, we could probably make 2-3 teams of guys we feel comfortable projecting as college prospects.

The defensive line, in particular, is deep, with multiple future FBS prospects left off the first-team. A bit further back, we have tackling machines galore at linebacker and some well-rounded defensive backs who can play both the run and the pass.
