Expert Analysis

I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again – Nate is an impressive defensive tackle, but the best highlight I’ve ever seen of him was as an offensive lineman when he drove a defender 30 yards to the sideline on a running play. The strength and athleticism of Nate are very impressive, and like his teammate Jesiah, you see consistent dominance against his team’s level of competition. From a recruiting perspective, Nate has received recent offers from Rutgers, Kansas State, and Texas.

Nathanael is an impressive defensive line prospect and has a ton of offers for his ability on that side of the ball, but his most impressive highlight to me came from him playing offensive line. Nathanael engages with a defensive lineman at the hash mark and run blocks him all the way to the sideline, with the play resulting in a touchdown. That strength and mindset are what have me excited to have Nathanael on this 704 Junior Bowl team.

Kamba is a violent defender who plays at full-speed all game. He routinely sheds offensive linemen to make stops in the running game, and his length means that he can get on top of blockers before they can engage him. If he can maintain his strength and speed as he continues to grow, he should be able to play early at the next level.

Kamba has the potential to be one of the top interior pass-rushers in the entire country. A two-way player, he excelled as a run blocker on offense and a run-stuffer on defense, racking up 26 tackles for loss as a sophomore. He has a quick and powerful first step that puts offensive linemen off balance and puts him in position to make plays.

Kamba flew up our boards after a strong spring. Playing at a small school means that we pay more attention to what happens at camps as he has more consistent competition there. He flashes dominance, suggesting that he should be able to thrive at the highest level of college football, even if it takes him some time to adjust.

Kamba has excellent strength, discipline, and pass-rushing upside and that’s made him one of the most highly sought-after interior defensive linemen in the entire country. The question here is obvious: how will Kamba adjust to the the increase in competition moving from the 1A high school to college level? From what we’ve seen, there could be some minor growing pains, but there are too many moments of outright dominance to ignore.

Oh my, the length of Kamba is impressive. He’s a man amongst boys at the 1A level and knows how to use his strength, length, and balance to control both sides of the line of scrimmage. He plays offensive line as well, but he’s a prototypical 3-technique, with excellent balance and power on the inside. He’s raw, but the tools are ridiculous.
