About Joshua

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a center/guard combo but currently play left guard. I have really good feet and hands for an interior offensive lineman. I had 28 pancakes last season and really a lot on my overall strength to control the line of scrimmage. My coaches tell me I am mauler who gets off well and goes second level. I also play DT/nose and I am very physical and fast off the ball for a guy my size.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a very humble kid, straight A student in the classroom; however, when I get on the field something clicks and I become aggressive. I am a fun loving teammate but in between the lines it is all business

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am an active member in my schools band program. I also sing in the choir

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I feel as if I am a leader both in the classroom and on my team. We collective do community service projects and myself and the other upperclassmen do a good job of leading our JV guys. I pride myself on doing all of the little things with pride and precision.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I was in a car accident last season and for a moment was not sure of my future. My head coach told me to overcome that adversity and use it as fuel going into my Junior season. I have fully recovered and am hopefully a get an opportunity to play at the next level.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am willing to go anywhere to play as long as I can help my mom not have to pay for college .

We like Crenshaw on both sides of the ball, but I think he fits best in a piece highlighting offensive line talent at the 1A/2A level. He’s a relentless competitor who moves really well for his size. He can snap the ball, and that ability to play center will impress some colleges. While I think he may end up on the defensive side of the ball in college, I do like his abilities as an interior offensive lineman.

I’m all in on Crenshaw, even if few outside of the area know much about him. He’s both large and athletic, posting a sub-5 second shuttle at our Prep Redzone North Carolina combine. That shows up in his game as he’s a strong puller who can both get out on reach/kick blocks and move people on down blocks. A move to center might be in his future, given his height, but I’d love to have him on my high school team as a guard.
