The list of talent that is registered for the event has put itself firmly in the running for the best group of talent that we have assembled. There are going to be so many athletes that I will be getting my eyes on. To preview the event, I want to go through a few of the athletes that I am especially excited to watch and provide coverage on.
We have written about Kevin quite a bit here at PRZ WI, and he keeps earning more and more reasons to be covered. Based off the tape from his junior year he was able to earn a DL2 ranking. Since then we have seen the 6’6″ 285 lbs beast putting in the work and getting even better. That has me excited for what we could see Sunday.
Kevin has a 1,025 lbs combo between his squat-bench-clean. Despite the massive size we have also seen Kevin run the 100M dash. Not to mention the high motor, quick get off, and hand use that we saw on tape. Sunday is going to be a great stage for Kevin to show off all of those traits. I’m excited for the special prospect to ball out. We will be there to provide instant coverage of it!
Another junior who is putting in the work and effort this offseason is Greendale’s OT Pierce Weber Pierce Weber 6’7″ | 285 lbs | OL Greendale | 2025 State WI . Weber has been going through a position change for the past year, shifting from a primary focus on DL to the OL. Between the junior season tape and the offseason clips it is clear that the technique from Weber is on a steady incline. That has me very excited to see the 6’7″ 285 lbs OT in person to see how comfortable he is looking at the position and how fluid he is in his movements overall. Big things are on the horizon because even as a raw OL prospect Pierce debuted as a top 40 overall prospect and OL12. We should see that trend upwards.

An athlete who I think could be one of the freakiest among the 130+ athletes is Max Ruedebusch Max Ruedebusch 6’5″ | 230 lbs | ATH Lake Mills | 2025 State WI out of Lake Mills. The 6’5″ 230 lbs athlete has dominated as an edge defender and WR. That 230 lbs is up from the 215 he played at this past fall. I am looking forward to seeing how smooth Max is in space, how well he changes direction, and also how well he tests. He has a 4.61 40 time in his bio. If he gets close to that at 230 lbs on Sunday you can guarantee you will see him earn a spot in our top performers articles. I can’t wait to see Max compete.

Landon first put himself on our radars at a previous Showcase. Back before he had been a varsity starter. He impressed with natural arm talent and a frame that was sure to grow into a prototypical one. Now he is back at 6’4″ 210 lbs and with his first year as a varsity starter under his belt. I love getting to see QBs in person. That is where you get a true feel for the arm talent they have. You can see and hear the ball coming out of their hand compared to others. I’m excited to see Landon after this past year of development and experience.

I was just tweeting about this dude this morning. Jacob has a bright future in an H-Back role for an offense, and I honestly wouldn’t call a team crazy for trying him at LB either. The 6’2″ 215 lbs athlete is explosive (won long jump State). Jacob has the athletic tools, agility, burst, long speed, leaping ability. What sets him apart is the power that is very evident in all those movements as well. You never see him make those athletic moves without the power also showing up. That stout athleticism is what is needed to thrive at the next level. I’m pumped to see it live and in person on Sunday.

Carson has been a fun athlete to watch develop over the years. He has been a varsity impact player since he was a freshman. Since then his offseason and in-season grind has been hard to match. That work has turned him into an impressive playmaker at LB and RB with power and explosive athleticism. Carson has put out some eye catching numbers this offseason, so I’m excited to see how he performs in the combine portion and watching that explosive athleticism show up in the drills.
Highlights
When I’m watching the WRs you can bet my eyes will be scanning for Boden. Frosch is one of the most productive receivers returning to the varsity field this fall. His quick twitch agility and acceleration have made him a dangerous route runner to play man against. So I’m hoping we see him put on a show during one on one battles. I’m also excited to see the hands on display. Plus getting some numbers on his agility and burst will be great to help draw the picture of what he brings to the table.
Highlights
While Damyias may lack size, Catholic Memorial showed a lot of confidence and trust in his abilities having him play safety for them. Lopez shows off the range to make plays on the ball or tackles anywhere on the field. Part of that is due to his quick play recognition. The other part is the pure speed he plays with. I will be looking forward to seeing how well Lopez tests. I also want to see how well he is able to move in man coverage. The tape shows an athlete who can flip his hips and change direction with ease, so I hope he shines in those opportunities Sunday.
Emmett is a Prep Redzone WI Showcase/Combine veteran. Every time he comes back he seems to be bigger and better than he was previously. With Emmett I’m simply excited to watch the show and provide the coverage. He is going to show off the body control to run routes and adjust to the ball with that huge frame. I’m excited to see how he uses that size to create space in his routes. I’m also pumped for updated testing numbers because the standout TE dominated that last time around. Bork is one of the best at his position in the state. That is saying a lot because the depth at the top of this loaded TE class is off the charts.
As you can see, Isaac is apart of our Watch List for the Class of 2026. That is because he hasn’t had the chance to play on Friday nights and get film out there for us to view. So I’m excited to see him in action for the first time. He has a solid frame at 6’2″ and is now up to 185 lbs. I’m excited to see how well he tests to start the day. He has been having good results at track meets recently, so he could be a top performer there, and then I’m excited to watch the arm and mechanics for the first time as we begin to get the full picture of what he has to offer.
Highlights
I’m most excited to see how Semaji has developed. When he first hit our radars the DE/TE was 6’2″ 180 lbs. He will now check in around 6’3″ 210 lbs. He also brings varsity experience. The first thing I check for with these bigger athletes is how easy do they move. Can they change direction, drop their weight, explode out of their stances and their changes of directions? Then you look further into the positional factors after you figure out the level of athlete they are. Petzold has been putting in the work, so he has earned a spot as a kid I’m excited to see.
Highlights
Zach was one of my favorite new finds from last season. The 2026 has been blessed with and developed a great frame at 6’4″ 225 lbs. He helped a Boyceville team make it to Level 3 of the playoffs last fall with his play at DL and TE/FB. On tape Zach is a powerful athlete who is able to break tackles, collapse the pocket, and open up running lanes. I’m excited to see how well he tests plus see what position he plays at on Sunday. He is a versatile athlete that can do a lot. I think he is an underclassmen that can turn heads often on Sunday.
Highlights
Similar to his teammate above, Michael has that special blend of power and athleticism needed to play successfully at the next level. I can’t wait to get some numbers to his speed and short area agility/burst because I think they are going to be good. I also am excited to see him if he plays WR or DB. I think he could make plays at either and has traits to show at both. If he does stick with DB he could have a very good day with his reactive athleticism and ability to bump receivers off their routes with his strength. Farr is going to make a name for himself Sunday.
This is going to be a great setting for Jack to show off the type of LB he is. On tape, Jack is a versatile LB who can play inside/outside. He also can play against the run or drop into coverage. Not many bring both abilities to the table. So I’m expecting good numbers from the combine and then watching him standout with his range and ability to slide in any direction. Plus I believe he has the ability to run with RBs, which he will get a chance to show on Sunday. Jack could be well on the rise after Sunday.
An underclassman who has been grinding this offseason is Adam Anderson Adam Anderson 6’4″ | 200 lbs | DL Lake Country Lutheran | 2026 State WI . The DL has started building on that long frame, adding size, strength, and explosiveness needed to dominate the trenches. We have seen is vertical increasing this offseason, and I’m excited to continue to complete the picture of his athleticism with broad jump, 40 yard dash, and the shuttle. Plus I am excited to watch him face this talented group of OL prospects. I want to see how he handles those battles. The tools are there for a great day.
Highlights
One of the offensive linemen I’m excited to see come out and work is Hartford’s Sam Johnston Sam Johnston 6’4″ | 270 lbs | OL Hartford Union | 2026 State WI . The sophomore already looks the part of a next level OL with his 6’5″ 270 lbs. The first thing I want to see is similar to other big athletes. How well does he handle his size. It takes time to grow into bigger frames, so I want to see where he is at in that process. I want to see how flexible his lower body is between his knees and ankles as he goes through drills. Then I want to see him in the one on one pass rush battles. I will have my eyes on him during those battles for sure.
Highlights
Nathan has been putting in the work this offseason. He has been hitting every category between the gym, positional work, and even nutrition. The freshman is looking the part at 6’3″ 245 lbs. This is my first experience with him in person so I’m looking forward to getting a feel for the type of athlete and power he has. Plus I want to see where he is at with his technique. I’m excited to see where he is at this early in his career.
Highlights
Another young offensive lineman is Hartford’s Jaxon Rolsma Jaxon Rolsma 6’1″ | 240 lbs | OL Hartford Union | 2027 State WI . As a freshman Jaxon was able to earn a spot on varsity. That tells me he has the physicality needed and the strength. I’m excited to see how well he uses leverage to his advantage which comes from lower body flexibility. Similar to OL Wade above, this is a great chance to get an early look at where a young, dominant OL prospect is at in his development. I’m excited to find out.
Highlights
A young, quickly rising QB is Hamilton Sussex’s Cole Erdmann Cole Erdmann 6’2″ | 180 lbs | QB Hamilton Sussex | 2027 State WI . He looks the part at 6’2″ 180 lbs. This offseason, and his freshman tape, has shown that Cole is going to be a dual threat on the field. I’m excited to see the testing numbers that he puts out. I was also impressed by his arm on tape, so I will be standing close to see how the ball jumps out of his hand in person. There is so much time ahead of him for Cole to develop, and the ceiling is looking very high. It could be even higher than I think depending on what we see Sunday. Cole is on his way towards earning a varsity job, so learn the name now.
Highlights
A freshman who made a varsity impact is WR1 Larenzz Pratt. Pratt was a problem for DBs with his speed and route running. He has natural hands that easily snag the ball out of the air. Pratt wins with his natural athletic gifts, so that has him as a must watch during the combine. I’m also looking forward to seeing how well he runs routes. He is only a freshman, but his burst and acceleration plus his body control have him looking like a veteran at the HS level. I’m expect a big day for the freshman athlete.
The TE position is alive and well here in WI. The Class of 2027 is led by Korz Loken Korz Loken 6’5″ | 200 lbs | ATH Iola- Scandinavia | 2027 State WI at that position. He has a frame that is going to explode into a mismatch nightmare as time goes on. This weekend I’m excited to see how the freshman has been working this offseason. Last fall and winter he was already quickly becoming a problem for the defense. I’m excited to watch him show off how he uses his size to create separation and high point the football. Plus we get another updated list of testing numbers. Korz is on his way to being WI’s newest mismatch problem.

We end with a 2028 that has quickly become a veteran of Prep Redzone events. JJ is developing an impressive skill set for the QB position. The mechanics are sharp and efficient. The feet are quick, as is the release. The parts you see almost every young QB need to develop look polished and advanced for Chapman. I’m excited to see the strides he has made since our last showcase. Keep an eye on this kid.
