Expert Analysis
Mark Johnson | Prep Redzone Scout
Isaac is continuing his rise and push for the top QB spot in this Class. We have seen him early and often this spring/summer. His combine portion of the day was outstanding. The dual threat QB ran a 4.69 40, hit a 31’2″ triple jump, an insane 38″ vertical, and a really good 4.32 shuttle time. Even with the great combine, as a QB what we wanted to see was the throwing.
The throwing never disappoints with Isaac. I was able to connect with multiple coaches while watching this position and it was all rave reviews for the DeForest incoming senior. He is the most effortless passer. The ball jumps out of his hand with natural velocity built up from his efficient and smooth mechanics. Even with the new crop of targets his accuracy was really good throughout the day too. No question he was one of the best QBs and overall athletes in attendance.

. The junior started the day with a strong combine verifying the dual threat ability we have seen on tape. 4.66 40, 4.38 shuttle, 9’6″ broad jump, 6.84 L-Drill are all elite numbers for the position and should catch a lot of attention from those next level coaches. He definitely had the attention of the coaches in attendance as a passer.
The coaches and myself were impressed by the crisp mechanics, footwork, and throwing motion. Prototypical across the board when it comes to those parts of his game. Just as high quality was Isaac’s accuracy and arm strength. Ziegler came out and left little doubt that he has the arm to be an eventual starter at the next level. He has touch and velocity depending on the situation and his ball placement was spot on all day long. Isaac is no doubt one of the best in this rare Class of WI QBs.

. Isaac is another athlete who we have watched grow and develop a ton over the past year. He is one of my favorite QBs to watch throw the football around the field because he makes it look so effortless. From smooth feet, to quick and strong hips, to the prototypical release. Every throw looks like he doesn’t have to try, yet the ball jumps out of his hand and because his mechanics are so consistent his ability to use pinpoint ball placement shines. Whether it was a deep out to the sideline from the middle of the field or rolling out of the run, the way Isaac can flick his wrist and deliver the ball accurately and on a thread all over the field is tough to find.
The ’26 is a natural thrower of the football. He is making strides in his game too. The velocity on the ball is even better since we last saw him. His movements through is drop and delivery are much sharper and consistent too. The arrow continues to point upwards for the signal caller.

This was a start to a career that I have been excited for since Isaac won MVP at the Prep Redzone WI Showcase. The junior gunslinger delivered a great performance that more than lived up to expectations as he led his team to a Week 1 thrilling OT victory. Isaac was on fire as a passer. He attacked all three levels of the field with accuracy and velocity. He protected the ball with smart placement. Isaac also made some impressive throws while on the run and even had a nice jump pass to find his receiver downfield. It was great to see the poise of the newcomer in a big time game. Recruiters, this is a 2026 QB to have on your boards. Check out the highlights below.

came out and put himself on the map with his performance. He was locked in a tough battle for MVP all day, and when it came down to it the coaches couldn’t decide who to give the honor to. That led to our first ever Co-MVP honor.
Isaac brings a dual threat to the field with what he can do with his arm and legs. The lower body was the first to make an impression. Isaac broad jumped 9’2″ & 9’6″, showing that explosive burst that he uses to make a defense pay when they turn their back to him and don’t contain him within the pocket.
What really put him in position to earn co-MVP for QBs was the arm talent and throwing mechanics. The young signal caller has very efficient mechanics. Isaac has a quick release, his feet are quick through his drop, and he is able to generate velocity as his entire body works as one to get behind the ball. Isaac had no trouble putting the ball on a rope to all three levels of the field. What was most impressive was the pinpoint accuracy. Coaches were raving after several throws that would zip just inches past a DBs hand or drop perfectly over the corner and his receiver’s shoulder. Ziegler demonstrated excellent control over the football and has the tools to become a special prospect in the Class of 2026. Get this kid on your radars early.

As you can see, Isaac is apart of our Watch List for the Class of 2026. That is because he hasn’t had the chance to play on Friday nights and get film out there for us to view. So I’m excited to see him in action for the first time. He has a solid frame at 6’2″ and is now up to 185 lbs. I’m excited to see how well he tests to start the day. He has been having good results at track meets recently, so he could be a top performer there, and then I’m excited to watch the arm and mechanics for the first time as we begin to get the full picture of what he has to offer.
