Freshman Emmitt Stegmann Emmitt Stegmann 6'0" | 180 lbs | WR DeForest | 2026 WI was a name I had highlighted coming into the day. The 5’11” 171 lbs WR was able to catch my eyes at different points throughout the combine. He ran a solid 4.81 40, 4.56 shuttle, 8’4″ broad jump, and 7.56 L Drill. Strong numbers that verify what we saw on tape coming into the event. Emmitt was a mismatch at the JV level, so I was excited to see him against older opponents. The 2027 looked at home. He impressed me with how well he could track the ball and adjust to it while it was in the air. He was able to make impressive over the shoulder catches and grabs at awkward angles. It was the type of catches that give QBs confidence to target him more. Big things ahead for the freshman out of DeForest.

Another wideout who I can see pushing for varsity playing time this fall is sophomore Emmitt Stegmann Emmitt Stegmann 6'0" | 180 lbs | WR DeForest | 2026 WI . The 6′ 175 lbs athlete has the void to step into after the top four leading receivers from 2023 all graduate this June. In 2023 Emmitt stood out on the JV field. His athleticism was a tough mismatch for DBs. He was able to win with straight line speed, could run sharp routes with his ability to start/stop in an instant, and Emmitt had no issues adjusting to the ball in flight. Stegmann proved to be just as dangerous after the catch as he is before it. Playing with explosive acceleration, a solid stiff arm, and the vision to set up blocks. Check out his tape.
