About Emmett
Expert Analysis
Mark Johnson | Prep Redzone Scout
Michigan State has an impressive TE on the way. He is so versatile. He has the size and strength to line up as a traditional TE and overpower DL in the run game. That size also is a huge advantage to create separation in the pass game where he can box out DBs and also pile up yards after the catch and after contact. His contact balance stems from that strength. Emmett has natural, strong, soft hands to make the catch through traffic, and he has the speed to be a legitimate threat to get down the field to attack the intermediate to deep levels. It is clear that he is developing into a next level mismatch.

Emmett is a Prep Redzone WI Showcase/Combine veteran. Every time he comes back he seems to be bigger and better than he was previously. With Emmett I’m simply excited to watch the show and provide the coverage. He is going to show off the body control to run routes and adjust to the ball with that huge frame. I’m excited to see how he uses that size to create space in his routes. I’m also pumped for updated testing numbers because the standout TE dominated that last time around. Bork is one of the best at his position in the state. That is saying a lot because the depth at the top of this loaded TE class is off the charts.

out of Oconomowoc. The most impressive change is the frame that is now 6’6″ 235 lbs. Emmett has packed on about 20 lbs in less than a year without it effecting his play. It actually made him more effective. Emmett is another prospect used as primarily a big WR. They keep him out wide where he can use his exceptional athleticism to win. We see him able to stack the DB on go routes. Bork has an effective release highlighted by quick hands and lateral agility to get off the line. It is great to see how aggressive he is when making the catch too. He attacks the ball in the air, using this elite size to high point it over all DBs. Lastly, Bork is excellent at reading and tracking the ball in the air and quickly adjusting to it. Emmett is a receiving mismatch at the TE position to get your eyes on.

to see his recruitment take off. It was clear the high ceiling was there since he was a 6’5″ 215 lbs sophomore. Now Emmett checks in at 6’6″ and a strong 230 lbs. Seeing him at the PRZ WI Winter Showcase made me even more excited because he carries the weight so well, and has retained all his athleticism while growing and filling out. The ’25 TE looks the part of a D1 TE, and the tape backs it up. In the Raccoons offense you see Bork split out wide, and that experience has helped him grow as a receiving threat. He is learning to use his strength to get off the line, the speed is there to stretch the field and stack CBs on deep passes. His body control and ability to adjust to the ball in flight is special for a kid his size. Emmett also possesses reliable hands that are soft, but strong when making the catches through contact. The junior will go up and get it too. Emmett is turning into the receiving mismatch nightmare that we have been anticipating. Coaches, check out the tape below and get him on campus to get a look at the impressive athlete in person.

Bork is a big body tight end who brings a lot to the table. The 6’5, 225 lbs junior out of Oconomowoc has a unique combination of size and athleticism. He tested well, running a 4.93 forty yard dash and a 4.59 short shuttle. Bork’s most impressive testing number was his 9’10 broad jump. These numbers represent his explosiveness at the tight end position, as he has the size to be an elite blocker and displayed tremendous body control and route running in 1-on-1’s. Bork earned Tight End MVP Honors at the WI Stock Up Showcase, which is a sign of big things to come for this impressive tight end.

I have been a fan of Emmett for a couple years now, and the potential to be a high end TE prospect were always there. We are seeing him reach that potential now, and it is fun to watch live. Bork is a massive athlete, checking in at 6’6″ and an impressive 225 lbs. The big target carries it very well too. Even as he has filled out the junior hasn’t lost a bit of athleticism. He put up back to back 9’10” broad jumps. It was in the drill work where it was even more clear that Emmett is quickly turning into a special prospect. He is essentially a massive WR in the passing game. The feet are quick, his hips quickly flip, he can change pad level through his breaks, and is able to get deep quick with his long strides. On top of it all, Bork provides a huge catch radius. He has soft hands and can go up and get it at the high point over DBs, catch it away from his body so DBs can’t punch it out, and uses his body to box out. Emmett is a D1 talent at the TE position.

. Bork is an exciting, dominant mismatch lined up out wide. The 6’6″ 215 lbs junior has an impressive release package. He is quick off the line, has the strength to clear the hands off him, and lateral wiggle to get around the DB and stack him. From there, the long WR/TE has the speed to get deep, and his ball tracking skills deep downfield are next level ready. Emmett is going to impress with his receiving talents. The big man uses his size to both go up and get the ball, and box out DBs to protect the ball. I’m excited to see how he continues to grow on the field, and fill out his frame.

The 6’5″ 200 lbs TE was one of the top prospects I couldn’t wait to see in person. Bork delivered on the reps that I watched. I first watched him when he ran routes against air. It was clear that the big target possesses well developing balance that allowed him to make clean cuts and breaks in his routes. Against DBs, Emmett was able to show that he had the strength to be able to get a clean release off the line, and he could get down the field and high point the ball before others could close in on him. Repeatedly, Bork proved to be the mismatch nightmare I expected. I’m looking forward to seeing if he can get onto the field on Friday nights this fall.

Consistent readers shouldn’t be surprised to see Bork on my list of athletes I can’t wait to see. His body control, catch radius, and soft hands have impressed me so much since his sophomore season ended. I am looking forward to seeing it in person on Saturday in the one on ones. He is going to prove to be a mismatch nightmare. I also can’t wait to see the numbers he puts up in the testing portion. He looks the part of a next level TE on tape. Look for him to continue to prove it on Saturday.

Emmett is the first athlete that jumped out when writing this article. His 6’5″ 205 lbs frame is just starting to fill out and add strength. He is very impressive at the catch point. His soft hands allow him to catch the ball away from his body. He also does a really good job of tracking the ball in the air and can contort his body to make the catch. Emmett just finds a way to come down with it. The long striding athlete can get deep and is able to go over defenders for the ball with that big catch radius. His concentration to make the catch in traffic also stands out. Keep an eye on Emmett. He is in line for a big year.
