Rise: #222 to #46

Platt put on a show of dominance this offseason, earning this rise along with several next level offers. The 6’2″ 295 lbs DT out of Oconomowoc is looking like a legitimate force on the interior. The massive frame is supported by the strength to hold the line of scrimmage or bull rush. His summer clips have great examples of that raw power that was helping him win reps even if he didn’t have the body positioning advantage. Platt is a kid who brings consistent technique to the field as well, getting hands on and creating space that he can use to beat blocks and get to the heels of his OL. Keep a close eye on the DL. He holds offers from WIU, Sioux Falls, Drake, Bemidji State, and Duluth.

Platt is a big nose tackle/DT in the middle of the Oconomowoc defensive line. I love how often his play strength flashes on tape. Over and over he is controlling his man, giving no ground, and ready to show off his powerful hands to shed and make the tackle. Platt will catch linemen off guard with how quick he can be through gaps and his lateral movement. Platt is a tough, powerful IDL who can control the line of scrimmage, but also get that penetration to disrupt plays. I am pumped to watch things really pick up for him this summer.

Breitzman embraced the challenge of putting the pads on in the summer heat of River Falls. He keeps his pads low, moves with intent through contact, and anchors effectively against power moves. His ability to stay balanced and deliver force from a sturdy base makes him difficult to move. In fact, he won all but one one-on-one rep I saw. He’s a disrupting beast rushing from a 0-tech. With continued focus on first-step efficiency and cleaner hand strikes, Breitzman, an upcoming Oconomowoc (WI) junior, could unlock another level in his development.
