Jaxon is a kid that OL coaches should fall in love with this summer. He is an absolute techinician at guard for Hartford. The 6’1″ 260 lbs athlete doesn’t take any false steps. In the run game he identifies his target, sets his path, and perfectly steps to and through his man. Jaxon always maintains a wide base that generates the power to reset the line of scrimmage and the leverage to help him move even the biggest IDL. It is great to see him laterally agility in space while attacking level two also. Plus the big man has that switch that he flips that makes him want to bury every DL he goes up against between the white lines. Jaxon is going to have a big summer.

I love the way Jaxon plays on the OL. The 6’1″ 240 lbs junior OL has a 6’2.5″ wingspan and 10″ hands. If I had to describe Jaxon in one word it would be technician. Wide base, quick feet, strong base, active hands, accurate hand placement, staying square over his feet. It is so obvious that Jaxon is dedicated to his craft and figuring out how to maximize his abilities and give himself the advantage in his battles. It was great to watch him take on big DL and win the rep over and over.

You have to love the way Jaxon plays in the trenches. He plays fast, low, and violent. The junior IOL comes off the line with bad intentions, looking to bury DL and the junior OL doesn’t stop driving his legs and resetting his hands until his man is on the ground or the whistle blows. The junior also shows off the range to get across the formation and make key blocks. The 2027 impressed during summer camps, has put together strong tape as a junior, and is a hard worker in the offseason. So I am very excited for what he could become by the time 2026 camps roll around.

It was a great showing for the 6’1″ 245 lbs junior OL out of Hartford Union. Jaxon is clearly a kid that focuses on the finer parts of his game, leading to him always being one of the more technically sound athletes. His active hands, flexible knees/ankles, and nimble feet always had him in position to take on the DL. To go along with the athleticism and technique, Jaxon checked off the strength box with his ability to stand up bull rushers and plow the DL off the line of scrimmage. I’m a big fan of Jaxon’s athleticism, technique, and violence.

out of Hartford. I was hearing positive things about him from the very start of the individual drill work. That was no surprise for me because it is very clear that Jaxon is a kid that puts in the time and dedication to make himself better. When we got to the 1 on 1s I got to watch that hard work in action. On the technique side of things, Jaxon did such a great job with accurate hand placement and constantly resetting his hands. The sophomore also did a great job showing off the leverage and strength within his frame to set a stout anchor. The way he could set his anchor and stand kids up was impressive. Jaxon is going to be a force in the trenches this fall.

. As a freshman Jaxon was able to earn a spot on varsity. That tells me he has the physicality needed and the strength. I’m excited to see how well he uses leverage to his advantage which comes from lower body flexibility. Similar to OL Wade above, this is a great chance to get an early look at where a young, dominant OL prospect is at in his development. I’m excited to find out.

brings good size to the table as a 6’1, 215 lb. lineman and possesses one of my favorite qualities in prep football prospects: a wrestling background. A WWF state wrestling qualifier, Rolsma has used the skills on the wrestling mat to play varsity football on the Orioles offensive line in 2023, and he fits in nicely as a varsity lineman if I do say so myself. The wrestling background shows up nicely in his good understanding of leverage, as he knows how to use opponents attacks and force against them, particularly if they get out of position, on their heels or too far extended, or are lazy with their hands. Overall controlled, strong, and agile, especially for his age, Rolsma possesses noticeable strength for a freshman who can finish defenders, move them far out of the gap and backward, and maneuver them completely out of a play. He plays with good & consistent pad level, is laterally agile and balanced enough to effectively pull and/or work across the LOS, and is fun to watch when he gets out in space and looks for work. I also like his solid pass set, as he blocks with a good base and active feet in pass pro, and is successful and powerful in both run and pass situations. He’ll be at or near the top of the upcoming PRzWI 2027 rankings, especially given the tradition Wisconsin has at producing top-tier collegiate OL prospects.

Jaxon is an elite defensive lineman with an astute ability of shedding offensive linemen once he is engaged out of his stance. Jaxon’s wide wingspan allows him to get out of his stance and engage an offensive lineman’s chest plate to establish control of his opponents; from there, Jaxon is spectacular at finding the ball and reacting to the play immediately. Jaxon attacked all assets of the camp with a focus on enhancing his skillset, and that was spectacular to see such a young man with great emphasis on his craft. There is no doubt that Jaxon has a bright future and will be an irreplicable asset to his team.

Jaxon caught my eye early as he never let up on the field, and his motor never seemed to quit. In addition to his engine, Jaxon was powerful in his upper body, but he also showed that he had some strong legs, which aided in his explosiveness off the line. Jaxon put up a 6’11” broad jump, allowing him to display that lower body strength. These attributes translated into his matchups as he frequently beat offensive linemen off the ball and would be around them before they could get their hands on him. Jaxon is a stout defender who will continue to develop into a strong defender, I am sure.
