out of Brookfield East. The 6’3″ 215 lbs athlete looks like he is shot out of a cannon when coming downhill. It leads to a ton of highlights where Jack is flying through the line of scrimmage untouched for TFLs. Jack also brings the lateral agility to be able to move side to side while staying square to the line and meet RBs as they come through gaps. Murray is another standout defender who also plays TE. You see the same physicality on that side of the ball too. Especially after the catch where he is running over DBs for big chunks of yardage after the catch. Jack more than deserved the big jump.

The junior LB is looking bigger and better than ever this season. Jack now checks in at 6’3″ 215 lbs, and even with the added size the LB still maintains that impressive play in space that he has always had. Jack plays with a high football IQ, reading the flow of the line and moving with them to maintain his gap, not falling for fakes, and quickly diagnosing plays. The junior LB also has a strong knack for avoiding blocks with his lateral quickness and even shows some quick hand use/fighting techniques to keep himself clean from OL. Murray isn’t just an athletic, finesse LB though. He will not hesitate to meet an OL in the hole and power through them to get to the ball carrier for the tackle. Jack finds the ball and has a wide array of traits that can get him to it quickly. He has a nose for the ball and it shows up in the final stat sheet every week. Check out this week’s tape!

. He came in and verified my excitement with his performance. Jack measured in at 6’2″ 195 lbs, ran 4.66 in the 40, 4.56 in the shuttle, broad jumped 8’8″, and hit 7.31 on the L Drill.
On tape I loved how natural Jack looked playing in space. That comfort and effectiveness stood out from the crowd during the showcase. Jack was able to mirror RBs in the ground game battles. He was quick to close downhill there and on routes that broke in front of him. In coverage, Jack showed off the reactive athleticism to stay right on his man’s hip through routes. It was a great showing for the sophomore LB.

This is going to be a great setting for Jack to show off the type of LB he is. On tape, Jack is a versatile LB who can play inside/outside. He also can play against the run or drop into coverage. Not many bring both abilities to the table. So I’m expecting good numbers from the combine and then watching him standout with his range and ability to slide in any direction. Plus I believe he has the ability to run with RBs, which he will get a chance to show on Sunday. Jack could be well on the rise after Sunday.
