. The kid never quits. He is always in the weight room getting bigger, faster, and stronger. He gets it done in the classroom with a 3.5 GPA. The cherry on top is the senior is one of the most productive athletes on the gridiron on both sides of the ball. Similar to other top athletes in the state, Carson stands out from the crowd with his college level combo of athleticism and power. Everything he does has that combo. Between the tackles you see him be able to cut and burst while staying in positions of power. The senior will also run right through arm tackles with his powerful lower body. His low center of gravity seems to only get knocked off balance once a gang of defenders swarm him. Then on defense you see that he can fly around the front seven, disengage from blocks, and deliver the hard hitting tackles that end forward progression on the spot. It was great to see that he recently got an offer from South Dakota. The dude is a high quality football player and needs even more eyes on him and opportunities.

One of the top players in Wisconsin this season put on an absolute show in Week 1! Racine Horlick needed every bit of it too to pull off the 42-37 victory over Union Grove. Carson is looking better than ever to start the season in a game that allowed him to highlight all of his well rounded game. Between the tackles we see the vision, agility, burst and the pure power and aggression he runs with to create yards after contact. His ability to maintain his balance through contact is special and some of the best you will find in WI this year. In the open field and when attacking the edge, Fletcher has that second gear to fly away from the rest of the field. Carson’s hands are looking great this season too, easily plucking the ball out of the air and then instantly attacking the defense after the catch with that same aggressive, physical running style. I can’t recommend checking out his film enough.

Stock Rise: #97 to #74
Carson put together a great offseason from his Prep Redzone WI Showcase spring performance through his final summer camp. The rising senior is another versatile athlete that shines at RB and LB. Carson is a hard working, dedicated athlete that lives in the gym during the offseason. That dedication has led to consistent improvements in his game on the field.
When I watch the tape I can’t help but think his future might be brightest at RB. Carson plays like a three down back. He will do the dirty work, grind out the tough yards between the tackles, and eventually wear down a defense. The ’25 will also find lanes to the outside and flash game breaking speed to get down the sideline for the big momentum swinging plays. Plus the rising RB/LB has reliable hands and does a great job of turning short passes or check downs into big yards after the catch plays.
At LB we see that athleticism and power culminate in his ability to fly around the field and deliver jarring tackles. Carson has good instincts and is quick to diagnose plays. I can’t wait to see how he performs this fall as he leads Horlick through the 2024 season.

Carson was a big play waiting to happen in 2023. The athlete averaged 8.1 yards per carry while putting up over 1,200 yards. It is great seeing college programs start to extend him offers because he is a special talent. Carson plays both ways for Horlick and could do either at the next level, but RB is where I want to focus. Carson has a dominant blend of power and speed that leads to him making the fireworks throughout his tape. The 5’10” 200 lbs muscled up athlete can run behind his pads, power over defenders and keep his balance for a long gain, and on the next play he can make an LB miss with his sudden lateral agility in the tackle box then accelerate for a big play. Fletcher has built a great base of explosiveness that is going to create highlight after highlight this fall.

Carson came into the day and proved that he was a prospect that college programs need to have on their boards. If he is already on your boards then it is time to give him a bump up. The junior measured in at a muscled up 5’10” 200 lbs. Carson is an athlete who puts in the time and dedication in the weight room that is needed to develop into a special athlete on the field. The combine gave us a glimpse of that. Fletcher dominated the testing with a 4.53 40, 4.31 shuttle, 9’11” broad jump, and a 7.25 L Drill. Not only is the power there to rip through tackle attempts, but also to change direction explosively as the testing shows.
On the field Carson continued to stand out. He showed off reliable hands and came out of route breaks with the powerful burst needed to separate from LBs, and that came up huge for him in 1 on 1s. The powerful athlete also proved to be extremely reliable in pass protection. He met LBs square, used leverage and a strong anchor to stuff the initial attack, and then was able to easily mirror their counter moves. On the ground Carson showed how smooth he was able to juke and jump cut laterally as well. It was an all around dominant showing from one of the best RBs in Wisconsin.

Carson has been a fun athlete to watch develop over the years. He has been a varsity impact player since he was a freshman. Since then his offseason and in-season grind has been hard to match. That work has turned him into an impressive playmaker at LB and RB with power and explosive athleticism. Carson has put out some eye catching numbers this offseason, so I’m excited to see how he performs in the combine portion and watching that explosive athleticism show up in the drills.

. I’m very excited to see where Carson is recruited because he stands out with strong traits at both RB and LB. On offense, Carson lines up at FB. There the junior is able to show off vision, power, and short area agility. Fletcher does a good job with his eyes when he gets the ball. He quickly finds lanes, has lateral burst to be able to put himself in position to hit lanes. The powerful back has a low, strong center of gravity. That gives him the ability to run through arm tackles with violence. Add in the long speed to create the big plays and you get a playmaker that can handle a significant workload.
