Continue ReadingWe wrap up our PRZ WI Combine coverage with a look at the deep and talented WR and TE positions. It was a diverse group showcasing size, speed, big catch radiuses, and body control that opened up separation for QBs to target. These kids proved they could get open in varieties of ways and also put up great numbers testing. The player leading the way at TE was MVP Jacob Haughton Jacob Haughton 6'2" | 215 lbs | TE Racine Case | 2025 State WI and the WR MVP was Boden Frosch Boden Frosch 5'10" | 175 lbs | WR Sauk Prairie | 2025 State WI . You can dive more into their days in the MVP Article. For the other standouts, let’s dive in.
The #1 freshman TE in WI has become a regular at our combines/showcases, and every time he shows up he reaffirms that ranking. Korz measured in just over 6’4″ 202 lbs. He ran 4.97 in the 40, broad jumped 9’6″ and ran a 4.5 shuttle. They were numbers that perfectly highlight his talent on the field.
Looking at him on the field and in the one on one battles, Korz is already a mismatch for defenders. He has a long frame with hands that can secure the catch, providing a huge catch radius. His long strides eat up ground, and he is surprisingly explosive in short areas. He already has the body control to run effective routes too. Korz is already a varsity impact player. Big things ahead for the freshman.

Rocco is a versatile athlete. He is an impact player at LB and TE, leaving him the option of what he wanted to sign up for. The junior measured in at 6′ 190 lbs, ran 4.69 in the 40 yard dash, broad jumped 8’10”, and ran a solid 4.55 shuttle time. All numbers that would be solid for TE or LB.
It is great seeing these kids play in person because it helps solidify what we see on tape. The body control and change of direction were strengths of his day. Plus his top end speed ws enough to give DBs a hard time going stride for stride with. While he may not project as a TE at the next level, Rocco has earned a look at LB.

Semaji has had a great year of growth. He now measure in at almost 6’3″ and 207 lbs. He ran 4.91 in the 40, 4.41 in the shuttle, jumped 9’4″ and hit 7.44 in the L Drill. Those agility numbers matched what I saw on the field. Semaji is a smooth route runner. He was able to get out of breaks quickly and didn’t have to sacrifice speed going into breaks either. The TE demonstrated some power to fight through jams and to not be pumped off his route. The sophomore also had to show some toughness, playing through an injured hand. Semaji is consistently showing improvement. Keep an eye on him.

Another big framed TE prospect that had a good showing at the PRZ WI Combine was Colten McMillan out of Wisconsin Rapids. He measured in at 6’3″ 196 lbs. The junior’s long frame has plenty of space to continue to add size on to. It was that length that helped him win his reps. Whether it was high pointing the ball or boxing out his DB Colten demonstrated good awareness of how to position himself to win. Keep an eye on the junior this fall in his final season.

Wyatt is an athlete who caught my eyes and I will be sure to follow his career going forward. The freshman is still growing but already checked in at 6′ 214 lbs. That sturdy frame has excellent athleticism for his age packed into it also. He ran 4.78 in the 40, 4.88 in the shuttle, and broad jumped 8’1″. All numbers that are great building points for a freshman.
On the field Wyatt caught my eyes with his play speed. He was able to get off the line down field at a great pace. He is still learning the nuanced parts of the position, but he has the athleticism to lean on. Plus Wyatt showed off reliable hands. I’m looking forward to following the career of the Marinette TE.
One of the biggest winners of the day was Winneconne’s Brody Schaffer Brody Schaffer 6’0″ | 180 lbs | ATH Winneconne | 2026 State WI . He came into the event and dominated every portion of the day. Brody has an exceptional base of athleticism within his 6′ 180 lbs frame. The sophomore ran 4.46 in the 40, 4.25 in the shuttle, broad jumped 9’3″, and ran 7.37 in the L Drill. Numbers that suggest an athlete with the top end speed and the agility to be an effective route runner.
Then we got to the field we saw just how effective of a route runner Brody is. He instantly ate up cushion off the line and then could either stack his DB as he went deep and easily tracked the ball for huge catches, or he would show that he could get through route breaks at nearly top speed. That speed through breaks left a lot of DBs trying to catch up. Schaffer was a mismatch nightmare. Coaches need to have the sophomore on their radars now.

Zack put himself on my radar last fall with impressive play on the field, so when I saw him registered for the combine I was excited to get numbers on him and watch him work live. The 5’11” 183 lbs junior ran 4.79 in the 40, 4.53 in the shuttle, and broad jumped 9’4″.
Zack is a very smooth and efficient mover. His body control paired with the numbers above allowed him to play even faster than the solid numbers suggested. He was physical through contact as to not get bumped off his routes and did a good job of going and getting the ball aggressively. Zack is a physical WR to have on your radars this summer and fall as he heads into his senior season.

A sophomore who dominated the field and kept catching my attention is Arrowhead’s WR Ryan Heiman Ryan Heiman 5’11” | 155 lbs | WR Arrowhead | 2026 State WI . The 5’10” 151 lbs 2026 ran a blazing 4.53 40 yard dash. he also ran a 4.53 shuttle, broad jumped 8’11”, and Rana 4.50 in the L Drill. It is clear that his accomplished track career carries over to the football field.
During the one on one battles the sophomore was able to win with speed over and over. He ate up cushion when given one and if he was pressed Ryan was quick to beat it and stack the DB. The sophomore is still developing the nuanced parts of running sharp routes, but when he got to use his speed on go or corner or post routes he dominated. Big things ahead for the 2026.

Carter came out to the PRZ WI Combine and we got to see how he compared to other WI athletes. He did great standing out last December at the MN Showcase, and continued that down in Oak Creek. Carter measured in at an intriguing 6’5″ 201 lbs while also running 4.82 in the 40 and broad jumping 9’5″.
On the field Carter demonstrated over and over the ability to use his big frame to create enough separation to win reps. He knew how to position his body so he would have the leverage and his explosive lower body allowed him to go up and attack the ball. Carter also showed off strong hands as he made tough catches through contact. He also did well tracking the ball downfield. Don’t sleep on the junior WR out of West Salem.

It was awesome to get 2027 WR1 Larenzz Pratt out to the showcase and get a beginning base of his combine numbers. The freshman measured in at just over 5’10” 161 lbs and it is clear he has built a good base of muscle on that frame already. Lauren ran a 4.50 in the shuttle, and broad jumped 8’2″.
What was really impressive was how much faster and explosive Larenzz was when we got to the live action. He is such a smooth athlete, playing with no wasted movement. Pratt’s balance allows him to run sudden routes and that led to plenty of space for the QB to target. Pratt also did a good job tracking the ball in the air. He also was able to make several impressive catches through contact. I’m very excited for him to take the next step in his development.
Another impressive sophomore WR is South Milwaukee’s Shaundel Williams Shaundel Williams 6’2″ | 160 lbs | WR South Milwaukee | 2026 State WI . The 6’1″ 162 lbs athlete put together a great day, earning one of the best vs best reps to end the day. He ran a 4.81 40 yard dash, broad jumped 8’11”, and ran a 4.66 shuttle. Shaundel has long arms that add to his catch radius and that showed up on the field.
Shaundel was a savvy route runner. He was able to consistently win with his route running. He set up routes and got in and out of breaks in a hurry. He was one of the best at fighting through DBs to hang onto the ball downfield too. Look for Shaundel to have a breakout junior year.

Freshman Emmitt Stegmann Emmitt Stegmann 6’0″ | 175 lbs | WR DeForest | 2026 State WI was a name I had highlighted coming into the day. The 5’11” 171 lbs WR was able to catch my eyes at different points throughout the combine. He ran a solid 4.81 40, 4.56 shuttle, 8’4″ broad jump, and 7.56 L Drill. Strong numbers that verify what we saw on tape coming into the event. Emmitt was a mismatch at the JV level, so I was excited to see him against older opponents. The 2027 looked at home. He impressed me with how well he could track the ball and adjust to it while it was in the air. He was able to make impressive over the shoulder catches and grabs at awkward angles. It was the type of catches that give QBs confidence to target him more. Big things ahead for the freshman out of DeForest.
Highlights
Junior Corde Wright Corde Wright 5’9″ | 165 lbs | WR Mosinee | 2025 WI made a name for himself in Oak Creek. The 5’8″ 145 lbs WR ran 4.69 in the 40, 4.47 in the shuttle, and brand jumped 9′. Those numbers alone had me looking more into him. Then he again stood out with his play against DBs in one on ones.
Corde dominated with route running. On short, sharper breaking routes we saw Wright stick his foot in the ground and explode out of the break opening up space. On deeper routes he was able to rely more on his speed to open up space. Wright also grabbed my attention with his quick releases to avoid the jam at the line. Corde attacked every level of the field with success. It was a great day for him.
Highlights
A freshman WR I have had my eyes on since the winter is Sussex Hamilton’s Drew Olson. The 5’9″ 155 lbs athlete ran 4.94 in the 40, broad jumped 8’5″, and ran 4.66 in the shuttle. A great base for him to build on, but it is safe to say that the 2027 plays faster on tape and during the live battles. Drew is a skilled WR who has the body control to run sudden routes. He finds and tracks the ball well. Drew knows when to come back to the ball and goes up and gets it. He plays the position like a natural. We could be in store for a breakout fall from Drew.
Highlights
A junior that showed off a good skill set at WR is Brookfield East’s Taylor Gregg Taylor Gregg 5’10” | 170 lbs | WR Brookfield East | 2026 State WI . The 5’9″ 157 lbs WR ran a 4.6 40, 4.69 shuttle, broad jumped 9’1″, and ran a 7.66 L Drill. Taylor is a shifty WR who wins with quick twitch and sudden route running. He was able to win in the short the intermediate routes with those tools. We also got to see that 4.6 speed let loose as he was able to get behind his DB on deep routes and reel in passes. The sophomore has varsity experience under his belt already, so look for an uptick in production as he develops his game further.

We end our coverage with a new freshman WR on my radar. West Bend West’s Xander Collier Xander Collier 6’0″ | 180 lbs | WR West Bend West | 2027 WI had an excellent day showing off his traits. The 6′ 180 lbs freshman ran a 4.84 40, 4.53 shuttle, and broad jumped 8’6″. On the field the freshman caught my eyes with his natural ability to track the ball and adjust his path so he could run underneath it. He showed off strong hand-eye coordination to bring in tough passes. Xander also did well battling through physicality. As he continues to grow and build on his athletic traits Collier could become a legitimate prospect to know.
