Mark Johnson | Prep Redzone Scout
Xander is a fun weapon to watch and project to the next level. He looks like a future TE/WR hybrid. Someone you can use all over the field to create mismatches. The 190 lbs junior has 10″ hands, ran 4.94 in the 40, had the best shuttle at 4.01, jumped 9’4″, and ran 7.06 in the L-Drill. The 2027 brings an elite blend of size and short area agility, burst, and balance. The big target can win with power, leverage, and positioning on one pass attempt and the next leave the DB looking the wrong way because of the sudden route running he brings to the field. Xander is one of the top at his position and a name to watch closely this summer.

Xander is one of those athletes that when the lights come on and the pads go on he is able to flip a switch and take over. The 6’1″ 188 lbs incoming junior did that again at the Whitewater Mega Camp. He is quickly learning how to use his length and overall size and strength to box out DBs. He has strong hands that let him catch the ball away from his body in those situations, furthering the distance between the DB and the ball. The bigger target also demonstrated some savvy route running, setting things up with head fakes and doing really well at selling a deep route before breaking off the route right when the DB turns his head to look back. Collier is developing his talents quickly and has the size and strong hands to become a serious mismatch out wide.

A sophomore WR that I have high hopes for is the 6’1″ 188 lbs athlete out of West Bend West. The sophomore has a 6’3″ wingspan and over 9′ hands. So the size and catch radius are there. The bigger athlete also proved he can get out and move with a 4.79 40, 4.37 shuttle, 8’11” broads, and a 7.22 L-Drill. I love these bigger WRs that put up excellent agility numbers. It helps prove a well rounded game. They aren’t just a jump ball or redzone threat. Xander is also a smooth athlete that can win in the short and intermediate levels with his ability to create space with how quick his feet are and how well he can change direction. Collier can win in a lot of ways. Make sure he is on your radars.

Jacked up to see one of the top receivers in the Class of 2027 signed up to come ball out. It will be great to get the athletic numbers for the 2027, but I’m really excited to see him out wide, battling DBs, and fighting for the ball downfield. On tape he has plenty of examples on varsity making difficult catches through contact and in traffic or while making last second adjustments. Sunday I want to see more of that and see how consistently he can win out wide. Very excited for him to continue to prove himself this weekend.

Xander Collier is quickly becoming one of the best WRs in WI. The sophomore has a well built frame. 6′ 185 lbs, nearly 6’5″ wingspan, and just over 10.5″ hands. The 2027 is built like a senior already and has also developed the athleticism of an established veteran. He ran 4.88, broad jumped 9’1″, and put up a 4.12 L-Drill. Xander is exceptionally comfortable on the field. He has quickly grown into his frame, allowing him to be a sudden route runner, burst out of breaks, and show body control to make catches on the sideline. Xander also proved he could play tough vs physical competition and still get off the line and get open. Collier has big things ahead of him.

. The WR was already looking like a reliable mismatch as a freshman in 2023. We see him track the ball well, time jumps to high point the ball effectively, and demonstrated strong hands to make the catch while taking a hit. Xander has shown he can stretch the field with solid speed and smooth route running on deeper routes. The sophomore has shown to be a willing and effective blocker downfield too. Xander is turning into one of the most reliable targets among underclassmen in WI. Get him on your radars early.

had an excellent day showing off his traits. The 6′ 180 lbs freshman ran a 4.84 40, 4.53 shuttle, and broad jumped 8’6″. On the field the freshman caught my eyes with his natural ability to track the ball and adjust his path so he could run underneath it. He showed off strong hand-eye coordination to bring in tough passes. Xander also did well battling through physicality. As he continues to grow and build on his athletic traits Collier could become a legitimate prospect to know.
