June was a fantastic month for the West Bend West standout edge defender. Coming into the summer it was clear that the 2027 had the size for the position and could impact the game on the edge with his violent strength. However, this summer he proved to be a much more well rounded player. Yes he piled up wins with that explosive power, but he also tested really well athletically and showed that he could win reps with quickness and agility. His hot month earned him offers from Western Illinois, Duluth, Eau Claire, Upper Iowa, Bemidji State, Augustana, Winona State, and St. Thomas. Colton left no doubt that he was a top edge in the Class of 2027 and should find himself well within our Top 100 following our next update.

. Following the event Colton was offered by Eau Claire, Winona State, Augustana, Bemidji State, and Upper Iowa. The 6’2″ 228 lbs DE with a 6’5″ wingspan was on a tear that night. He intriguingly blends speed and power, giving himself the ability to win with athleticism or violence. We saw him win with speed and length as he ran the loop to the backfield. The dominant edge also had an impressive rep where he was able to get under the OT, drive him back, and put him on the ground. The WBW edge is a mismatch. A big senior season is on the way from him.

West Bend West | 2027 StateWI. The 6’3, 230 lber., who measured in with a 6’5 wingspan, earned offers from Winona State, Augustana, Bemidji State, Upper Iowa, Minnesota-Duluth, and the hosting UWEC Blugolds thanks to his performance at the Big Man Mega Camp. Quite the hall, and Markohn deserved every bit of the attention, as he was explosive, powerful, forceful, and physical above all others at the nearly 200-strong UWEC Big Man Camp. Markohn was taking the souls out of OL at initial contact, not to mention their breath, and he toppled over a few 250-300 pounders on shear initial contact alone. Markohn was overwhelmingly powerful at first contact, and the lead in his hands was generating an impressive pop throughout a rep. He put a couple of kids floating backwards like they were on skates throughout the day of reps, with a couple straight-up pancakes as well. Too low and strong, Markohn was toppling over OL throughout the day of competition, and a few of the bowl overs created some audible “wows” and “oohhs” from his peers and the parents in attendance. Talk about a crowd pleaser!
I love watching Colton’s highlight cutups. He is big and built a very strong, stout frame. That strength has proven to be a major advantage for the 2027 DE/Edge. The tape shows a kid who can set the edge with ease and also can dominate with his bull rush. You see the heavy hands and the ability to turn his first step and overall quickness into instant power when he makes contact. That raw power almost overshadows his ability to win with flashes of speed and lateral quickness on his path into the backfield. If he can verify solid numbers for his quickness that will only solidify his overall game more and push him up our boards and assuredly others as well.
