Another impressive junior that I was most looking forward to seeing was Racine Case TE

. The powerful athlete didn’t disappoint. He started his day with a great combine after weighing in at 215 lbs. He ran a 4.65 40, broad jumped 9’5″, and ran a 4.37 shuttle. The power that you see on tape flashed in the combine and stood out in the drills and one on one battles.
Jacob easily beat press at the line with strong hands to get himself clean of the CB. He burst off the line when given clean releases, and accelerated away when he beat jams as well. There was no bumping him off his routes downfield either. Jacob wasn’t just powerful. He was a smooth athlete who was able to track the ball and make the quick, last second adjustment to get hands on the ball. The big man also understood how to use his frame to protect the ball. The junior was a mismatch, and was able to leave with his first offer.

I was just tweeting about this dude this morning. Jacob has a bright future in an H-Back role for an offense, and I honestly wouldn’t call a team crazy for trying him at LB either. The 6’2″ 215 lbs athlete is explosive (won long jump State). Jacob has the athletic tools, agility, burst, long speed, leaping ability. What sets him apart is the power that is very evident in all those movements as well. You never see him make those athletic moves without the power also showing up. That stout athleticism is what is needed to thrive at the next level. I’m pumped to see it live and in person on Sunday.

We end with one of my new favorites in this Class. Jacob is a powerful 6’2″ 215 lbs TE, but ATH may be a better category for him because he is such an impressive athlete that I don’t really want to put him in one spot. Jacob is fresh off an indoor track State Championship in the long jump with a jump of 22’11”. That performance does a great job showing the type of powerful burst he plays with on the football field. Burst that flashes out of his breaks. That burst pairs with impressive balance allowing him to be a surprisingly smooth and effective route runner. Jacob’s explosive power shows up in the run game too. We see him demolish LBs with powerful blocks, and he is a punishing runner after the catch. The amount of natural power and athleticism he has in his skill set is going to get him attention. Check out the tape of a kid who is sure to rise these rankings and recruiting boards around the Midwest.

. The junior TE is a bit undersized for the position, but the athleticism and physicality he can bring to the position jumps off the tape. You can line the junior up out wide or inline and he is able to get a quick release off the line either way. In the run game we see him deliver massive pancake blocks on DBs and LBs out in space. He has excellent range to get across the formation and up to the second level. In the passing game Jacob catches your eyes with exceptional hands that make circus catches look easy. He has excellent hand-eye coordination and can adjust to the flight of the ball with ease. After the catch Jacob shows that he can win with speed, elusive agility, or powerful running. He is listed at 6’2″ 215 lbs, but there is no doubt he has next level talent. Do not sleep on this one.
