Morell has been on our radars for a few years now, but the senior RB has had his breakout this season. He is such a talented playmaker and is going to be a big riser in our rankings post-season. Morell is so explosive, agile, elusive, and fast. He is an athlete that you have to contain as soon as he takes the handoff or he will find a way to generate a big play. So many of his cuts make it look like he is teleporting from one gap to another, leaving defenders tackling air. His acceleration is so explosive that he is able to hit the smallest gaps. When Morell has the ball in his hands good things happen. He is a huge reason behind Case bringing home the Conference Championship this season.
Morell is off to a roaring start to 2026. Racine Case has played a heck of a tough schedule to start the year, but Morell has been able to produce week in and week out. The senior is extremely agile, quick, and explosive. He has been fantastic working through traffic, even showing that he can break some arm tackles at 5’7″ 160 lbs. His top end track speed stands out from the crowd despite playing at the D1 HS level and his acceleration flashes over and over from play to play. No surprise to see that Morell has earned some offers since the season started. He is putting on a show in the early season for the Eagles!
Morell doesn’t have the size to be an every down back, but the things you could do to get him the football out in space could provide an offense at the next level with a very impactful spark. His highlights are extremely fun to watch. He has some outstanding acceleration and his top end speed is equally impressive. The two come together to make a highlight reel full of plays where he is leaving no doubt that he is usually at least one of the fastest athletes on the field. It is wild to see him already at top speed by the time he is going through the hole. It leaves no room for error by the defense trying to fill their gaps. This type of mismatch definitely has a home at the next level.
Morell’s Week 4 offensive highlights are a great example of his speed and quick twitch agility. It only took him 9 carries to put together an elite performance. He did it by winning with speed that outran angles or by picking through traffic with his elusive agility. It is very clear that Morell was playing faster than the rest of the field as he ripped off long run after long run. His second gear in the open field never allowed the defense to chase him down on the way to those long TDs. Plus his vision with the ball gave him even more of an advantage over the defense. Check out the explosive weapon’s tape below.
